Bodhichitta is the heartfelt wish for all beings—not just oneself—to be free from suffering and reach their fullest potential. As we face the degradation of our climate, we are called to recognize our deep interconnectedness with all living beings, understanding that our survival and well-being are inseparable from the health of our planet and the life it sustains.
An attitude of Bodhichitta inspires compassionate action to create and maintain a supportive environment for all. This wish can guide us to make sustainable changes in our own lives, advocate for broader systemic transformation, and, importantly, acknowledge our role both in the problem and in the solution.
In this daylong retreat, we will reflect on our interconnectedness with the natural world and meditate on how to cultivate Bodhicitta in our daily lives. Geshe Legtsok will also encourage us to take a wider perspective, helping us resist hopelessness and stay engaged with courage and compassion.
Each session will combine teachings, guided meditations, and opportunities for discussion.
