About this Retreat
I have been walking a shamanic path as an apprentice since 2003, integrating traditional wisdom with modern approaches to healing and presence.
My professional roots are in social work: I have been supporting adolescents and adults with complex life paths and trauma since 2000. For 12 years, I was the educational director of a large social institute, and for 8 years I led my own holistic counseling school, offering training in embodied, soul-centered guidance.
Over the past 15 years, I have facilitated leadership and communication seminars, and I bring a strong background in mindfulness, trauma-informed practice, and nature-based somatic work. I am a certified TCM practitioner, a Nature Counselor, and a mindfulness trainer.
I am also a mother and a lifelong learner. Since 2022, I live and host retreats in Passalmonte, a simple, living community space near Lake Trasimeno in Umbria, together with my beloved life partner, who follows the Sufi path.
I am committed to holding spaces that are honest, grounded, trauma-sensitive and alive – where people can return to themselves and remember what matters.
Details of this retreat
Are you looking for a peaceful, affordable place in Italy where you can stay for several weeks, slow down, and reconnect — without leaving the world behind?
Important: As this is a new offering, we are open in 2026 only from June to September. If all goes well, we plan to open for the full summer season in 2027.
Our lived-in women's retreat home in Umbria welcomes guests for 4 to 12 weeks, offering a soft rhythm of daily meditation, mindful shared cleaning (“Action in Love”), and a late breakfast together. The rest of the day is yours: to rest, work remotely, write, walk to the lake, or explore Umbria.
We are not a silent ashram, and not a luxury escape — but something in between: a grounded, community-based space where mindfulness is lived in small daily acts, and where presence and simplicity are the real luxury.
This is a non-religious, non-dogmatic space.
You are welcome here whether you follow a path, no path, or your own way.
We don’t teach beliefs — we hold space for honest experience and mindful attention.
🏡 Setting & Boundaries
While this is a women-only retreat, it is held within a mixed-gender household.
I live here with my husband in a shared home, and from time to time, our adult son or close friends may pass through. There is also a nearby guesthouse where a few writers (including men) live or stay.
The retreat space itself is clearly defined and protected:
The sleeping area is for women only
There is a dedicated garden space around the meditation room and shared kitchen that is reserved exclusively for retreat guests
All other residents are aware of and fully respect the boundaries of the women’s retreat
This way, you live in a real, warm setting, while still having a clearly held, safe, and protected space just for women — for reflection, connection, and rest.
🗺️ Location & Freedom of Movement
Although this is a retreat space, you are not cut off from the world.
We live in a 300 years old seminar-house in a rural area :
🛒 1 km from the supermarket
🏖️ 2 km from the lakeshore beach (Lago Trasimeno)
🏘️ 2 km from the village Passignano sul Trasimeno
🚉 1.5 km from the train station (easy to reach on foot or by bike)
🏙️ 30 km from Perugia
🏛️ Easy day trips to Assisi, Florence and Rome are possible by train
We’re also within reach of both seas:
🌊 About 140 km from the Tyrrhenian Sea
🌊 About 160 km from the Adriatic Coast
No car is needed.
You can rent one of our two bicycles or the e-bike for a small fee and explore freely.
You have access to a fully equipped kitchen, so you can shop locally and cook as you like — or enjoy pizza by the lake, fresh bread from the village, or a cappuccino with a view.
This retreat is designed for a minimum stay of 4 weeks. The daily rhythm and weekly program are intentionally light and repeat in cycles — allowing you to settle in, deepen your practice, and live at your own pace. Whether you stay for four weeks or three months, the structure remains steady, and the price adjusts according to the length of your stay.
While our mornings begin mindfully — with meditation and a shared moment of care — life afterward flows in a grounded, human way. You’re free to laugh, chat, work, explore the area, or even watch Netflix. This is not a silent retreat. It's a place to live with presence, but without pressure — a safe, simple home for women who seek time, space, and connection.
About Our Pricing
We are a non-profit (NGO) and offer this retreat space not to generate profit, but to cover basic expenses and support new community projects.
Our intention is to keep the experience affordable and accessible, especially for women in transition, on sabbatical, or building new paths in life.
By staying here, you are not just joining a retreat — you are also contributing to a mindful and regenerative initiative.
