About this Retreat
Olivia is delighted to be practicing physical therapy and sharing the transformative practice of yoga in Sebastopol, CA, while also offering online yoga classes and patient care. With over two decades of experience, she played a pivotal role in YogaWorks teacher training programs for 15 years—training trainers, shaping curriculum, and authoring the YogaWorks Teacher Training Anatomy Manual. She has also created video content with YogaAnytime, sharing her approach to movement, anatomy, and yoga with a wider audience. She trains new teachers with the Center for Yoga Los Angeles and has collaborated with the Kinesiology department at Santa Rosa Junior College. A UC Berkeley alum, she earned her Master’s in Physical Therapy with Honors from CSU Northridge and began movement studies at the San Francisco Ballet School. Currently, she is pursuing her Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of Montana. Her teaching and practice are deeply influenced by the teachers of the Iyengar and Ashtanga traditions as well as Insight Meditation, whose guidance has shaped her path.

Details of this retreat
This retreat is designed to create space for deep nourishment, blending the wisdom of yoga into our physical practices and daily lives. Our focus will be on the Yamas (ethical principles) and Niyamas (personal observances), using these foundational aspects of yoga as a guide to fostering self-care and deepening our ability to nurture ourselves—both on and off the mat. Through embodied movement, breathwork, and reflective practices - informed by classical yoga as well as modern physical therapy - participants will explore how these teachings can enrich everyday life. Throughout the retreat, we will explore how living the Yamas and Niyamas can transform our relationship with self-care, balance, and well-being. By saturating our lives with yoga—not just in our physical practice but in our daily choices—we can cultivate a deeper sense of nurture and wholeness.
