Details of this retreat

For Yoga Teachers and Sincere Practitioners:

Do you live a life full of meaning and fulfillment? Are you being nourished in your heart? Do you wake up everyday knowing what you are meant to be and how you are designed to serve?

We come together as yogis to sit, meditate, practice, and dive deeply into these questions. As life and our bodies are always changing, our path and purpose don’t always need to look the same. In one phase of life, you might be a school teacher, and in another, you’re an attorney or a homemaker. One decade, you’re in the city, and the next, you’re on a farm. Some days, you need sweaty vinyasa, and others you need complete restorative.

But through the changes, can you find balance and solid ground? Can you find laughter, peace and faith during the change and uncertainty?

Our 5-day retreat in the redwoods is a place for you to practice, to look deeply, to release, to strengthen, to soften, to let go. Rediscover new ways to understand your purpose by celebrating each step of the path.  Gloria Baraquio and Special Guest Teachers of Shivakali Yoga will guide you in the practices of mantra, meditation, ritual, yoga, philosophy, sequencing, journaling, and nature walks to awaken the deeper parts of yourself. These full days of practice from sunrise to bedtime will help you understand more about your own path, your beliefs, your values, your purpose, and your mission. In essence, in taking this time for yourself, you will realize what you are truly devoted to and what is worth protecting in your own life.

When we get clear about our own path and our priorities, it becomes impossible to choose anything that does not serve our personal growth and peace.

Get ready to sing and dance together, self-reflect in your spacious cottage or with the trees, and envision big transformations for yourself, your community, and the world.

This immersion includes 30 hours of yogic practices that will develop you first as a practitioner, and then as a guide for others.

Such a calm and delightful context for a beautifully designed retreat. So nice to see how Olivia’s work and the center drew a lovely community into being. Well prepared vegetarian food at all three meals.

Center
Beautiful location. Lovely people. Housing accommodations are exquisite.

Some helpful suggestions - more accurate directions from Meyers Grade Road to center, my food limitation included eggplant and it was served as the main meal one day so I ate salad for dinner so I wondered why you asked about my food allergies. There was no cleaner to wipe down the yoga mats after using.

Overall a great experience and I plan on returning

Lovely weekend yoga retreat with the amazing Olivia Barry at RatnaLing
Inspiring weekend at RatnaLing Retreat Center in the trees.

Olivia's program was well rounded and accessible for most yoga practitioners. Her heart & soul goes into to her work to share movement, fundamentals of philosophy for a gentle and happy life, and how to nurture a healthy body. If you ever get to practice with her at any one of her classes do not miss it!

The Center itself is lovely set in a large site with basic but very large comfortable cabins for overnight guests. The only thing I missed was my hair dryer so bring if you require. The food was simply incredible vegetarian fare (with gluten free & vegan options) served buffet style in the dining room.
