About this Retreat
I am an experienced trauma resolution therapists with a deep calling to help people release what know longer serves from their mind, body and energy body.
I have trained in multiple different styles of body work and somatic trauma therapy and a a qualified trauma informed yoga instructor. I have had the privilege of working in the plant medicine world in the Peruvian Amazon and the Wirikuta dessert in Mexico and trained with the Matses tribe in how to work with Kambo a powerful frog medicine that aids in removing toxins and bringing deep clarity and alignment. I have also done trainings in different forms of energy work and had the privilege growing up in a family of energy workers and healers so I have been exposed to the healing arts from a very young age.
I feel blessed and honored to have come to this planet to do this work and truly walk each day in grace and gratitude for the ability to serve all who feel aligned to work with me.
I have always been a lover of life, drawn to the depths of intimacy, presence, and what it truly means to feel and connect. Over more than a decade, I have devoted myself to the study and practice of tantra, bodywork, breath, deep presence, and relational work with medicine, refining an approach rooted in both lived experience and diverse traditions. This immersion is an invitation into that work, a space where couples can slow down, soften, and rediscover each other with honesty, depth, and care.
Details of this retreat
Somatic Recoding™ is a hands-on, bottom-up approach to bodywork. Over seven immersive days on the Pacific coast of Oaxaca, you will explore fascia, breath, nervous-system regulation, structural touch and subtle-body awareness through daily teaching, demonstration and supervised practice.
Led by René Refi and Atabey, the training weaves together thirteen lineages and bodies of knowledge, including Osho Rebalancing, Ayurvedic massage, Nahuatl massage, Tui Na, Shiatsu, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, Thai massage, polyvagal theory, craniosacral therapy and osteopathy.

About 50 contact hours are delivered across seven days. Each day includes embodiment practice, theory, demonstration, supervised hands-on learning, feedback and closing integration. You will receive a printed manual and join a small cohort of no more than 20 students supported by two lead teachers.
Who this training is for
This program welcomes massage therapists, bodyworkers, healers, space holders, therapists exploring somatic modalities, and anyone sincerely drawn to the art of touch. No previous professional experience is required. Teaching is in English with Spanish translation.

Certificates and practitioner pathway
All participants who complete the seven-day Foundations Training receive a Certificate of Completion. Students enrolled in a mentorship pathway may continue into four weeks of online practice, reflection, feedback and assessment. Certified Somatic Recoding Practitioner status is awarded only after demonstrated competency; attendance alone does not guarantee practitioner certification.

Foundation + Practitioner Mentorship — $6,666 USDIncludes the in-person training plus a one-month online group mentorship, four weekly 90-minute calls, practice requirements, integration assignments, case studies, reflection submissions and final practitioner assessment.
Foundation + Practitioner + 1:1 Mentorship — $8,888 USDIncludes the full practitioner pathway plus four individual online mentorship calls, personalized guidance, advanced practice feedback and fulfillment of the 1:1 mentorship prerequisite for a future Advanced Practitioner Training. This package does not by itself award Advanced Practitioner certification.

The training takes place in Mazunte, Oaxaca, Mexico. Fly into Huatulco (HUX) or Puerto Escondido (PXM); Mazunte is approximately one hour by road from either airport. Lodging, flights and airport transfers are not included.
