About the Teacher

Why study with them?

I've spent thirty years working with the body — Qigong, Tai Chi, Chinese boxing, fascia-based movement, yoga therapy, and advanced bodywork. Before that I trained as an exercise physiologist and worked as a Master Level trainer. Clients have ranged from professional athletes to people who run large companies, and they mostly arrive with the same thing: a body that's been carrying too much for too long.

What I do is direct. Fascia, breath, circulation, the nervous system. I read how you move, put hands on, and find where you're holding — then the days get built from there. The method is set. The order is yours.

I'm not going to talk you through your childhood or tell you what your body means. I work with what's in the room, today. For most people that turns out to be enough.

Camp Vortex Retreats runs on five secluded acres near Joshua Tree National Park. Nine years out here, one to three people at a time.
