Plant Medicine's:

Wachuma:

Wachuma (Huachuma) is a cactus (Trichocereus Pachanoi) native to the Andes, traditionally used for healing, magic and divination. It has been a part of Peruvian tradition for thousands of years, used by priests and medicine men for religious and spiritual ceremony. Also known as San Pedro (San Pedro held the keys to Heaven), the master plant contains a number of alkaloids- including mescaline, a entheogen that brings the expansionary visions most commonly associated with journeying. Though rather than travelling through psychedelic realms, one is brought to the basic, primordial state of consciousness, beyond the material, space and time to the true, present nature of the mind.

Wachuma is a great teacher of the subtle dimensions of Earth reality, showing us ‘beyond the veil’ and what is normally invisible to the naked eye. A grandfather spirit and ancestral medicine, the teachings of the cactus are said to be gentle yet firm and uncompromising. It is common to sense a detachment from one's body and a re-connection to ones soul, as well as the intricate frequencies that make up our universe. One also gains access to divine intelligence, infinite wisdom and deeper insights that may lead to spontaneous healings and profound realizations.

The body generally feels extremely tranquil, aware and at peace with oneself and its surroundings, especially feeling a oneness with nature and the animal and mineral kingdom. We may begin to feel and experience suppressed emotions and memories that are normally resisted or hidden away. Huachuma illuminates what pains, if any, we are storing in our bodies subconsciously, and how we can improve ourselves to be better humans on Earth. Nausea, purging, sickness and dizziness are all common symptoms after ingesting the plant spirit. These may relate to the letting go of negative and toxic energies and entities from our field.
