Your Guides
Sage ViGo (Vijay Gopala) is a renowned Yogi from India. He is the founder of Yoga Gita having the main center near Mysore. He has studied Yoga from his father from a very young age: in addition to this, he also has a Master’s degree in Philosophy and a Master’s degree in Yoga from different universities. He is a certified Senior Yoga teacher with more than 20 years of experience in teaching. Besides this, he is also a personal trainer who provides one-to-one life transformation sessions. Teacher training courses and other spiritual courses offered by Sage ViGo and his students are very popular.
Sage ViGo has traveled throughout India, studied with many teachers, and delivered lectures on many subjects. Also, he regularly travels to the West to teach Yoga: this has resulted in a teaching methodology containing finer qualities of both Eastern and Western life skills.
The unique specialty of teachings of Sage ViGo is the profound transformational link established between the philosophy of Yoga and the practice on the mat. This link is the very crucial thing that is missing from the present-day Yoga scenario on this planet. Having no access to establish this missing link on the mat, the practitioners instead of practicing Yoga end up either practicing some physical exercises or lost in illusions. The endless confusion that different styles of Yoga are bringing can also be solved by knowing this authentic link. The Yoga Gita Self Awareness Ashram is located about 15 km north of Mysore, and is surrounded by agricultural fields just outside the historical town of Srirangapatna, in the state of Karnataka. The center borders the river Kaveri where all kinds of animal life can be observed. The tranquility of nature vibrates day and night through the sounds of the river, crickets and all kinds of birds. The place is an inspiring environment amidst nature to celebrate life.
