Ryan has had multiple initiations in Bwiti and Mwiri, and trained with Bwiti elders and teachers in Gabon. That lineage is the ground everything else in this work stands on. He founded Root Healing, co-founded Bassé Root Church and the Missoko Bwiti Alliance, and co-organizes the Iboga Leadership Summit in Gabon, where he works to keep Iboga practice professional, effective, and done in real partnership with the tradition and its elders.
How Ryan works

Before anything else, Ryan's work is about holding the space. In ceremony, that means staying with you through the night, steady and present, so you can go wherever the medicine takes you. That can mean the hardest, most tender places you carry, and you won't be facing them alone. Around the ceremony, it means a container built from Bwiti tradition and care, strong enough that you can let your guard down inside it.
Ryan doesn't hand you answers or tell you who to be. He gives you the tools of Bwiti and Iboga, shares what he knows and has lived, and trusts you to find your own way through. The aim is to strengthen your own knowing, not to make you depend on him or anyone else.
That support doesn't end when the retreat does. Ryan and the Root Healing team walk with you through aftercare and integration, helping what opened in ceremony take root in your relationships, your habits, and the way you live each day.
