Magnificat Women's Life in the Spirit
Susan Potvin, Karen Herrmann, and Carolyn Cannizzaro
Retreat starts Friday with rosary and Mass at 7:00pm, ends Sunday with Noon lunch.
Life in the Spirit
The Life in the Spirit retreat includes talks about the Father’s intimate love for each person, and the opportunity to seek the healing Jesus has for all, and to learn about the gifts of the Holy Spirit and experience His empowerment. The retreat will include small group discussion, times of praise and worship, and opportunities for prayer, Eucharistic adoration and the sacraments.
How crazy is life getting? Women, sisters, friends – we need to come together for refreshment, fellowship and vision! Susan Potvin, international speaker and worship leader will be encouraging the army of women that the Lord is raising up. He has made us for this work of evangelization through prayer – especially for our children and families. Let’s transform our worry and concern into powerful prayer and victory. Let’s do it in the strength of the Lord and with the fellowship and encouragement of each other. The Lord has graced us for such a time as this!
Susan longs for all women to know the power of God’s love and healing in the midst of their lives and their families.
“Do not be afraid, for I am with you;
I will bring your children from the east
and gather you from the west.
I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’
and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’
Bring my sons from afar
and my daughters from the ends of the earth—
everyone who is called by my name,
whom I created for my glory,
whom I formed and made.” Isaiah 43:5-7

The timing was perfect for a silent retreat between groups of large group retreats. I was nearly alone for my prayerful days with God. I had the chapel to myself all day long. Meals were prepared and placed in the refrigerator for whenever eating worked into my schedule. The food was good. The bed was comfortable, and I slept very well. The center was quiet, and staff members were helpful and kind. Father said Mass each morning and was available for spiritual direction. The 80 acres was beautiful. God led my much needed retreat, and I was grateful to God and to everyone at Our Lady of Good Counsel for making it happen.
