Details of this retreat

This retreat is an invitation to slow down, soften, and return to the parts of yourself that are often quieted by the noise of everyday life. Held in the ancient, otherworldly landscape of Cappadocia, Turkey, this 7-day journey blends deep inner practice with cultural immersion and a touch of the mystical. Each day is a balance of movement and stillness—yoga, breathwork, and meditation woven between long meals, personal reflection, and incredibly unique and intimate Turkish experiences.

Our group of twelve will share a stone-carved home where silence is honored, stories are shared, and meals feel like ceremony. You'll drift over ancient valleys in a hot air balloon at sunrise, sit in stillness inside a cave, touch raw earth in a pottery workshop, and witness the sacred movement of whirling dervishes.

More than a retreat, this is a return—to the body, to community, to wonder, and to a sense of belonging.

Schedule

7:30 AM – Sunrise Silence: Journalling & Tea
Begin the day in quiet presence, sitting in stillness as the first light rises over the Cappadocian valleys. A short breathwork or guided meditation follows, grounding you in the energy of the day.

8:00 AM – Morning Yoga, Meditation, and breathwork Practice
An energizing Hatha-Vinyasa class with breath-led movement, chakra focus, and intuitive sequencing. Practice is designed to awaken the body and sharpen awareness.

9:30 AM – Shared Breakfast
A nourishing, home-cooked vegetarian meal prepared by Almut’s family. Meals are slow, intentional, and served with fresh herbs, eggs, breads, fruits, and warm teas.

10:30 AM – Cultural Immersion or Free Time
Pottery workshops, visits to ancient cave sites, or simply time to wander the land, journal, or rest. Some days will include group excursions; others offer space for solitude.

1:00 PM – Lunch & Integration
A midday meal shared at the long family table. Guests are encouraged to eat slowly and mindfully before relaxing into a soft break.

3:00 PM – Afternoon Workshop or Restorative Practice
An optional workshop exploring breath, philosophy, or creative expression—or a gentle restorative or yin-style movement practice.

5:30 PM – Evening Circle or Meditation
A chance to come together in quiet reflection, guided visualization, group sharing, or ritual—depending on the energy of the day.

7:00 PM – Dinner
A colorful vegetarian dinner cooked with love by our hosts, often followed by lingering conversations, candlelight, and soft music.

8:30 PM – Ceremony or Evening Ritual
One or two nights will feature special ceremonies such as a sensory dinner experience, Sufi music night, or a sound healing session under the stars.

10:00 PM – Rest & Silence
The evening closes with quiet time—space for stargazing, journaling, or simply drifting off into deep, peaceful sleep.

Our retreat home is a lovingly restored stone house in the heart of Cappadocia, hosted by Almut and her family—longtime residents who welcome each guest with warmth and care. The house itself feels sacred: carved into the hillside, with cave-style rooms, quiet corners for rest, and views that stretch across the surreal landscape.

Every detail—from the art on the walls to the handmade meals—is touched by intention. It’s not a hotel, but a lived-in space that invites stillness, connection, and de
