Details of this retreat

The Blue Moon Silent Retreat at Satchidananda Ashram Yogaville is a perfect opportunity to take a break from the stresses of daily life and immerse yourself in a peaceful, supportive environment.

You will be guided in the various yoga and meditation practices and given the space to be with your Self.

Spiritually, a blue moon is considered a rare and powerful event symbolizing change, second chances, and heightened awareness. It amplifies the energies of a full moon, making it an opportune time for reflection, setting intentions, and deep spiritual work.

Through the powerful practices of mouna (silence), yoga, and meditation, you will rediscover your inherent nature of peace and joy in a peaceful oasis. Swami Satchidananda taught that inner transformation is the key to outer change. When we nurture peace and happiness within, we naturally radiate positivity to the world around us.
The Blue Moon Silent Retreat Schedule includes:
Sun Salutation/ Surya Namaskar practice with mantras: gentle and chair yoga options are offered. Moon Salutation/ Chandra Namaskar practice with mantras. Mantra Chanting: Gayatri and Purnima Mantras explained and chanted at the LOTUS temple. Restorative Yoga for total relaxation and release of stress. Karma Yoga: yoga of action/selfless service at the ashram organic farm (weather dependent). Sunrise meditation overlooking the Blue Ridge mountains and Lotus Temple.

Healing Silence: Discover the power of quietude for deep personal
insight and lasting serenity.
Guided Practices: Experience yoga philosophy, meditation, breathwork, postures, and relaxation led by experienced instructors.
Support & Connection: Reach out with written questions, or opt for private mentoring, so your journey is always supported.
Open to All: Whether you’re new or experienced in yoga and meditation, everyone is welcome.
