Meet Moni, co-founder of Vim Yoga Academy. With more than 20 years of experience teaching internationally, Moni is an expert in movement education.
She is an E-RYT500 accredited Vinyasa Yoga Teacher, Guild certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and Certified in Ayurvedic Massage. She has taught at every level of education in movement and performance training, including under-graduate and post-graduate levels in higher education. Moni’s commitment to the study of movement dates back to 1997 when she began her university studies as a dancer and simultaneously started practicing yoga. Her practice is deeply rooted in Ashtanga, as well as alignment-based Vinyasa Yoga.
In 2004-2011, Moni first began integrating yoga into her pedagogical approach to embodied movement training when she was a Senior Lecture at Rose Bruford College, a leading UK Theatre and Performance institution. As a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner since 2012, Moni’s approach to Yoga and movement training integrates neurology and functional movement practices to bring about informed brain-body awareness.
Moni has a BA in Dance/Drama and a Masters in Physical Theatre. She now applies her knowledge within the luxury wellness and detox field, and is currently working as part of an expert team at Chateau du Launay, as the lead yoga teacher, leading weekly 7-day intensive retreats.
Fascinated by the mind-body in motion, Moni has dedicated her career to the practical as well as philosophical study of embodied movement training practices. She is motivated to teach others led by her core belief that movement and meditation are fundamental to the physical, emotional and spiritual health of all human-beings.
