Monica-Jean Adelaide Smythe

Monica-Jean studies performance art and acting as well as working and performing with Shauna Kanter, owner of ‘Voice Theatre’ a live-action and improv theater company in Kingston, NY, and with Patrick Wadden, owner of ‘Arm of the Sea Theater’ a larger-than-life ecologically themed handmade puppet theater at the ‘tidewater center’ in Saugerties, NY.

MJ also studies contemporary and modern dance with Kristi Klinger, owner of ‘Diamond Dance Company’ in Woodstock, NY. She has 3 years of experience as a counselor and assistant teacher at ‘The Art Affect, Duchess Arts Camp’ in Poughkeepsie, NY.

MJ loves surfing in the ocean and has always been very artistically driven in many ways since a very young age.
