With the guidance of Sensei Justine and facilitator Monica-Jean, this Reiki retreat offers the opportunity to connect with like-minded healers and find inner peace. Take this chance to nourish your body, mind, and soul and explore the power of Reiki in a beautiful Costa Rican paradise.

Reiki is a type of healing therapy that involves channeling energy and is based on the belief that an unseen “life force energy” flows through all of us. It is a holistic practice that works to create balance in the body, mind, and spirit. Reiki practitioners use their hands to channel healing energy to the person receiving the treatment. The goal of Reiki is to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and support the body's natural healing.

The process of becoming a certified Reiki practitioner is straightforward. First, a person must study the history and principles of Reiki. This can be done through books, classes, or workshops.

Once a person has a foundational knowledge of Reiki, they must receive an attunement from a Reiki master teacher. This attunement opens the practitioner to Reiki energy and allows them to channel it. After the attunement, the practitioner must practice the healing technique to build their skills and develop their abilities. Once the practitioner has gained a basic level of proficiency in Reiki, they can choose to pursue certification. Various organizations offer certification and require the practitioner to take an exam. After successful completion of the exam, the practitioner is certified as a Reiki practitioner.

There are three levels of Reiki certification, each with its own attunement cost. The first level is known as Reiki 1 and is the basic certification level. At this level, you will learn how to channel and direct energy for healing and how to perform a Reiki session for friends and family. The cost for this level of certification is usually around $200-$400. The second level is Reiki 2, where you will learn more advanced techniques, such as distance healing, working with symbols, and how to use crystals and other tools for healing. The cost for this level of certification is usually around $400-$600. The third level is Reiki Master. You will learn how to teach Reiki, use its advanced healing techniques, and become a Reiki practitioner. The cost for this level of certification is usually around $800–$ 1,000.

The cost of this retreat includes certification in Reiki Levels 1, 2, and 3, two meals per day, private accommodations, and participation in community activities, including daily beach and jungle excursions and shared mealtimes. We will pick you up and bring you back to the Cobano domestic airport, and all local land travel is included in your retreat registration cost.

Reiki sending is an ancient healing practice that originated in Japan centuries ago. It is based on the belief that the body has an energy field that can be used to promote physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing. Reiki sending is a form of energy healing that uses the practitioner’s hands to channel universal life force energy to the recipient. This energy is said to promote healing and balance in the body. Reiki sending can reduce stress, relieve pain, improve sleep, and restore energy.

Directions

"Located in the Delicias area of the Nicoya Peninsula, BellaVista holds the true spirit of Pura Vida in every way! I was lucky enough to spend time at a Wellness retreat, at this beautiful place. Tucked away on a private and quiet acreage, with gorgeous views of the peninsula, while still close and convenient to many sightseeing attractions - beaches, jungle hikes, waterfalls, and the charming village of Montezuma. Hosts David and Justine Smythe, have taken their many years of expertise in the culinary and hospitality world and created a rustic yet elegant, paradise. My room was upstairs in the main house, with teak wood, big open windows and a balcony which was perfect to take in the view of the ocean, mountains and sky, and listen to the howler monkeys. Each delicious meal was thoughtfully prepared with locally sourced and fresh whole foods. I took special pleasure in a daily dip in the artfully tiled swimming pool each day, while contemplating the horses as they grazed in the field below. How much more relaxing and beautiful can you get?! Hammocks hung around the big veranda surrounding the house, invite you to unplug, read, or nap. Do you want to relax, have fun and unwind in a beautiful and magical place? Then BellaVista is your place"

Get comfy, unwind, cozy in, enjoy outstanding cuisine and more. The beach is a short ride - if you even want to leave. Feel secluded yet you can walk to a few restaurants. We enjoyed sharing the lovely family area - including the company of all the paws, claws and hooves - yet felt private in our own space. Thank you family Casa Bellavista for making our stay extra special! See you again! Keri
