Myth & Magic is a creative process developed by photographer and artist Marianne Larochelle. Rooted in the timeless wisdom of myth and the transformative power of creativity, it invites women to bring their inner stories to life. Through costume-making, set design, movement, art, and song, participants embody archetypes and forgotten tales, discovering hidden aspects of themselves along the way. Photography serves as both witness and alchemical tool—helping women see, integrate, and reclaim the parts of themselves that have been silenced or forgotten.
Each journey begins with a myth that resonates with the participant’s life, becoming a mirror of challenge, transformation, and renewal. By re-imagining these stories, women spark dormant creativity, shed old layers, and step more fully into their truth. Myth & Magic is more than art; it is a remembering of the wisdom, beauty, and magic already living within.
