Kate McCabe

Kate is the creator of Sacred Heart Sonora and a plant medicine guide specializing in the living medicine Bufo Alvarius. She is a MFTT obtaining a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy and provides intake and integration services for clients. She believes in pairing talk therapy with medicine and is interested in intersection of psychology, shamanism, and psychedelics. Kate has worked with Bufo Alvarius since 2018, has held space in over 1,300 ceremonies, and completed her training with the medicine over the course of many years with her partner who is a medical doctor and pioneer of Bufo Alvarius with over 20 years of experience.

Kate is an advocate of Sonoran Desert Toad Conservation and the ethical collection of medicine. She has spent the last four summers promoting conservation efforts at Rancho Bufo Alvarius in Magdalena de Kino, Sonora. She has appeared in documentaries by VICE, Channel 4, and Strg_f.
