Julio Richardson, known as DA.KAI, is a multi-faceted artist born in Miami (Florida) and raised in St. Maarten. His mother, his main source of inspiration, nurtured his musical talent from an early age. By the age of twelve, DA.KAI had already begun his professional musical career, earning a reputation for his exceptional improvisational skills and frequent performances at Miami's renowned Calle Ocho festival.

His worldwide recognition skyrocketed when he competed on ‘The X Factor Spain’, where his performance of the original song ‘Cupid’ wowed the judges.

Today, DA.KAI is a multi-platinum award-winning songwriter. Formerly known as Don Kino, he adopted the name DA.KAI after a spiritual awakening that profoundly transformed his artistic vision and mission in life.
