About the Teacher
Why study with them?
When I started meditating daily, I realised how disconnected I actually felt from my own body – and therefore from my emotions, needs, and boundaries. I noticed how deeply I was entangled in thoughts and recurring mental loops: constantly interpreting the past, commenting on the present, and planning the future, while at the same time (unconsciously) trying to suppress unpleasant bodily sensations and painful feelings that lurked beneath the surface.
It wasn’t until I encountered bodywork that I realised that many of these suppressed emotions actually stemmed from my early childhood and were subtly shaping how I perceive myself and the world – in effect, creating my reality. When I participated in the “Emotional Detox through Tantric-Tao Bodywork” retreat together with my partner Ricardo, I unexpectedly came in contact with feelings I had buried and forgotten for a long time.
To finally cry tears I had been holding in for years, to finally give long-suppressed anger a voice, and to fully feel my joy, pleasure and energy without shame felt profoundly healing and liberating to me. Now I know what it means to truly be in contact with myself, to feel my life force flowing freely again, and to move through life in deep connection with my body and my true essence.
I am deeply grateful to have discovered this powerful form of body-based therapy and now happily share it with others from the bottom of my heart. It is a great honour for me to accompany other people on their paths and to share this life as a human being.
My background: I studied Biology, Psychology, Neuroscience, and Philosophy (M.Sc.). I contributed to a longitudinal study on the effects of mindfulness on emotional differentiation and worked as a research assistant in the fields of nature conservation and sustainability – with a focus on how our perception of the “Self” influences the way we relate to our environment.
Currently, I work as a certified MBSR teacher (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) and give group courses in Berlin. In addition to MBSR, I give one-on-one sessions as a certified Emotional Detox Therapist to help release emotions and trauma stored in the body.
With great joy I now offer the “Emotional Detox through Tantric-Tao Bodywork” retreat in Germany together with my partner Ricardo and our teacher Mal from Sri Lanka.
