Hayulima Spiritual Sanctuary resides over 112 hectares of pristine and protected cloud forest located in Mindo, Ecuador. Hayulima's surrounding forest is teeming with an abundance of wildlife and native flora. Toucans, hummingbirds, butterflies, and countless other species inhabit the sacred space freely. Our various sacred ceremonies take place inside confortable malokas, teepees, and sweat-lodges. These locations serve as gathering points to meet, pray, sing, and share our time together.

As a solo female traveler, I was a bit apprehensive about trying a retreat center and plant medicine for the first time. I am so grateful to have found Hayulima. From start to finish I felt incredibly safe, nourished and supported, not to mention the location is stunning. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers for making this an unforgettable first experience.

Meaningful and Memorable
Meaningful experiences stay with you and become memorable, this was the case with my ten days at Hayulima. I’m so grateful to have and hold these memories beyond the beautiful location and people. I am also so grateful for being so well cared for and supported throughout the medicine work! Lodging was comfortably accommodating, logistics were smooth, and don’t even get me started on the food—so good! By the end of the stay, I felt a closeness with the place, with fellow participants, and with the Hayulima family. I definitely hope to return!
