About this Retreat
Awdhesh's quest for yoga learning began from 2011 while being in contact with several renowned yogis in India. Since the enlightenment, he is always cultivating and expanding his experience and knowledge of this lifelong practice. To establish a career in yoga, he attained a diploma in Naturopathy and yoga philosophy, and in 2014 he graduated with master's in yoga studies. After his graduation he realized that yoga is beyond just a daily practice; it is a way that can be applied to every aspect of living. To deepen his study, he went to Mysore to practice Ashtanga Vinyasa under the guidance of yogi Ajay Kumar.
Awdhesh is a seasoned yoga teacher registered with Yoga Alliance USA (RYT). He brings a pragmatic approach to his teaching and offers students a clear, approachable and understandable way to develop their yoga practice. He has a unique ability to connect with others in a simple but profound way by making his classes fun yet challenging. Over the years because of his unwavering and immense passion for yoga, he always felt compelled to share the benefits of yoga with others.
Dr. Hemlata's passion is to teach how your body works and how it could work better. With her knowledge and experience, she uses the multitude of skills she brings to each class to enrich people's lives to be mentally and physically stronger and more resilient, and better at balancing mental and emotional issues.
After school, Dr. Hemlata entered in Combined (P.G.) Institute of Medical Science and Research (CIMSR), Dehradun where she graduated with bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy. During graduation, she started working in the field of ‘Effect of physiotherapy on Rib-Fracture & Spinal-Cord Injuries'.
Dr. Hemlata uses yoga as a tool to help address, assess and work through physical injuries and imbalances and foster a greater sense of awareness, healing and balance in the body and mind. Her approach to yoga follows the holistic model, safe yet challenging, always allowing for individual modifications; asana modification and important precautions are discussed. Her teachings involve precise guidance and safe adjustment, where the focus is on alignment of the body, breath and mind.
Yoga and meditation has always been a part of Lakhi Ram's life. This sublime combination transformed his life and made him a happier and a healthier person.
Being one of the best meditation teacher in Rishikesh, he strongly believes that yoga is a moving meditation. Lakhi Ram loves sharing his knowledge that the yoga practice brings more awareness, internal calmness and increases the energy level (prana) into higher realms of consciousness. For him, Yoga is a holistic spiritual path though the eight limbs of the Yoga practice and he brings this philosophy into his classes.
Dr. Anamika is passionate to share the joys and benefits of Ayurveda, Naturopathy, Yoga, and Diet Management.
After school, she pursued further studies in anatomy, physiology, principles of medicine and Ayurveda and graduated in B.A.M.S. (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery).
She has worked at the Uttaranchal Ayurvedic Hospital in Dehradun and also at Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya (Coronation) Hospital in Dehradun.
Sonam is energetic and outgoing with a collaborating spirit. She specializes in Hatha yoga and sequencing that will increase one's holistic health and wellbeing.
She is currently pursuing Master of Arts degree in Yoga from Shri Jai Ram Yoga Ashram Rishikesh. Sonam has been giving yoga lessons at some of the renowned yoga schools in Rishikesh. She enjoys inspiring others to stay committed to their long-term health and fitness goals.

There will be one activity per week. During a seven-day retreat, depending on the weather and local conditions, you will get an opportunity to visit a holy cave and temple or go trekking in the Himalayas. You will enjoy exploring the town of Rishikesh and witnessing the traditional holy ceremonies that take place in the yoga capital.
