Details of this retreat

July in the Pyrenees: A Sanctuary of Coolness & Calm
As the summer heat intensifies, the 13th-century Palace of Casa Marterena remains a naturally cool refuge of stone and silence. In July, we invite you to trade your heavy agenda for the restorative moss of the Irati Forest.

This is more than a holiday—it is a professional reset. Led by a holistic psychologist with 30 years of yoga and meditation practice, our July retreat (6-day English immersion) bridge the gap between academic clinical wisdom and ancient practice. Through mindful forest bathing, Hatha-Kundalini-nidra-sivananda yoga, and professional workshops, you will dissolve the accumulated exhaustion of the year and rediscover the art of listening to yourself.

Key Highlights: 13th-century medieval sanctuary, deep forest immersion, Ayurvedic-inspired organic cuisine, and expert psychological integration.

The Experience: A soft, empathetic landing for the over-scheduled soul.

Directions

Journey to the Sanctuary: How to Reach Us
Your retreat begins the moment you start your journey toward the Pyrenees. We are nestled in the historic Casa Marterena, located in the serene mountains of Navarre, near the magnificent Irati Forest.

Here are the most comfortable ways to reach our 13th-century Palace:

By Air (Nearest Airports)

Pamplona Airport (PNA) – Local: This is the closest airport, located just 45-60 minutes from the retreat center. It offers quick and easy connections through Madrid (MAD).

Bilbao Airport (BIO) – International: The nearest major international hub, located about 2 to 2.5 hours away by car. It offers excellent international connections and a beautiful drive into the mountains.

Biarritz Airport (BIQ) – France: A lovely international alternative, approximately 1.5 to 2 hours away, offering a scenic route across the border.

By Train (Highly Recommended)
For a truly relaxing transition from the "agenda-driven" world into your retreat, we highly recommend traveling by train.

Pamplona Train Station: High-speed trains (AVE/Alvia) connect Madrid to Pamplona in about 3 hours, and Barcelona in under 4 hours. It is a quiet, comfortable, and environmentally friendly way to travel.

The Final Stretch to the Palace
From Pamplona (whether you arrive by train or plane), the journey into the heart of the Navarrese Pyrenees takes less than an hour.

Car Rental: Renting a car at the airport or train station is an excellent option if you wish to explore the majestic Irati Forest and surrounding valleys at your own pace before or after the retreat.

Taxi / Private Transfer: For a soft, stress-free arrival, you can easily take a taxi from Pamplona directly to our door.

(Note: As an intimate, small-scale sanctuary, we do not operate a private shuttle service, but we are more than happy to provide you with recommendations for local taxi companies to ensure your arrival is as smooth and peaceful as possible).
