Eric A. Clayton is an award-winning author who writes at the intersection of spirituality, storytelling and pop culture. His books include "Finding Peace Here and Now: How Ignatian Spirituality Leads Us to Healing and Wholeness", "My Life with the Jedi: The Spirituality of Star Wars" and "Cannonball Moments: Telling Your Story, Deepening Your Faith". He is also the co-author of the children's book, "Our Mother, Too: Mary Embraces the World" and "The Seagull on the Chapel". He is the deputy director for communications at the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States where he manages the multi-award-winning weekly series, "Now Discern This". Details of this retreat
We know that we are made for story. Our lives are part of the Great Story. But too often, we get bogged down in the monotony of our days. We trade the epic for the everyday and lose sight of how truly amazing we are. In this four-part online retreat, award-winning author Eric Clayton will guide us through reflections, exercises, and guided prayer to reawaken with us our sacred desire for adventure. Using his new book Where Wonder Leads: Finding God Through Fairy Tales, Myth and Contemplative Prayer, we will map our own epic journey and seek out the breadcrumbs to where God's Spirit is leading us next.
All meditations will be drawn from the book. Each week, participants will be invited to pray with a particular chapter and given time to share the fruits of that prayer in small groups. Themes will include vocational discernment, finding God in speculative storytelling, Ignatian spirituality, praying with the imagination, and more.

Biospiritual Focusing retreat at Genesis
I recently attended a five day Biospiritual Focusing retreat at Genesis. The program was excellent. The coordinators experience and wisdom were extremely helpful. I also appreciated their caring and responsiveness to anything I needed.
The staff at the retreat house created a caring, welcoming environment in every way. The food was excellent, and much appreciated. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. It was a very positive experience, and am looking forward to my next retreat there.

BioSpiritual Focusing Retreat 8/26
I received so many gifts of new knowledge and experiences from all 4 instructors and many participants. As always I enjoyed all of the outdoor spaces, especially the labyrinth. I truly appreciate the space that was freely available in the chapel, carriage house and friendship hall for myself and others to offer optional groups.
