Ayurvedic Yoga Weekend Training Intensive is an enlightening deep dive into how Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga, can inform and enhance your own yoga practice and take your holistic health to the next level. A retreat in the heart of gorgeous nature with like-minded people to discover and practise the life science of self-caring and healing, framed as an intensive training course delivered over the weekend. Space for learning, discussion, practical embodied techniques, and joyful community connection.

Discover this fascinating personalised approach to asana practice to guide you towards the yoga that really works for you. Learn how to bring out the best from your practice by adapting and tailoring your approach using some simple modification techniques that can be quickly and easily applied in your daily life and on the mat. Applicable to any form of yoga you may already know, from kundalini to vinyasa, this holistic approach will elevate your wellbeing and imbue true transformative power.

This retreat is for those who want to deepen their knowledge and practically try Ayurvedic nutrition, massage, and yoga for their self-care.

Beginners will learn an accessible approach to start their yoga journey with the fundamental principles to guarantee success. Advanced yogis will unwrap another layer of personalisation to their practice which will help them go deeper than ever before. Yoga teachers, facilitators and space holders will learn how to improve their classes with tried-and-tested techniques, bringing out their students' innate strength and unique vitality.

This is yoga which is naturally suited to your own temperament and tendencies - play to your strengths and targeting your weaknesses in a way that feels intuitive and inspired. This course is suitable for anyone who wants to add dimension to their own yoga and learn how Ayurveda can support you in finding a practice that serves your ultimate goals.

Over the weekend we will look at how you can tailor asana practice for each of the three main elemental types, Vata (air), Pitta (fire) and Kapha (earth and water). Practice in each style and feel the difference for yourself. Learn how to identify each of these three types by taking a general appraisal of physical, mental and emotional characteristics.

Discover the therapeutic practice of ayurvedic massage and how to use this key technique on yourself and others. And of course, 'yoga' is not just about asana, we explore the mantra, pranayama and meditations you can use to pacify each elemental type and diversify your practice.

Enjoy ayurvedic food over the whole weekend and explore the sensory therapy of elemental eating so you feel equipped with the knowledge to make the best choices for your own holistic health and wellbeing. In our guided voice activation workshop, drop into a space of centred heart and reveal your true voice. There will be plenty of opportunity for personalised learning during our open Q&A sessions with our ayurvedic experts where you can get the answers to the questions that really matter to you.

All this against a backdrop of the gorgeous nature of the Thames Valley, with wild swimming in the refreshing river waters each morning, free time to walk in the glorious green of the forested hills and impeccable campfire vibes with kirtan, music and song.

We also give you exclusive online entry to our partner course so you will have all the materials you need to prepare for the live event, and review at your leisure with lifetime access. Included in the ticket price is a one-to-one personal consultation so you arrive to the weekend with confident reassurance in how to apply these concepts to your own unique set of wellbeing strengths and challenges.

This year we are bringing our newly built mobile sauna by the river so you can deeply relax in the warmth of the sauna with a spectacular view of the river Thames.

Schedule

Friday - Arrivals

We will welcome you to our beautiful location between 3-5pm. There will be time to settle and orientate, put up your tents and relax into your space before we gather.

We will then enjoy our first meal together before holding the opening circle around the camp fire.

Saturday

Dive straight in with a refreshing wild swim in the river Thames as we wake.

Revived from the waters we will flow into a morning yoga practice, focusing first on pacifying Vata, the element of Air.

After breakfast we will discover how to spot the different elements present in people based on some physical, emotional and mental tendencies associated with each type.

We will break for some lunch and then spend the afternoon with our talented therapist learning all about ayurvedic massage techniques, and how you can easily incorporate them into your classes.

Following on from dinner we gather by the campfire to chant mantras for each dosha, deeply embodying the diverse vibrations of each element.

Our evening around the campfire continues and we lift our prayers to the sky in a devotional kirtan led by gifted musicians.

Sunday

Another unique opportunity to experience the cleansing water of the Thames, as we wild swim when we wake.

Sunday's yoga asana practice will look at embodying peaceful Pitta, the element of fire.

After breakfast we will gather to look at how you can bring the elements within into balance using differing pranayama techniques, and ways of meditating that best suit each constitutional type.

We rest and relax over a shared ayurvedic lunch, lovingly comprised of carefully chosen sattvic ingredients.

In the afternoon we will delve into a guided eating meditation - exploring the six ayurvedic tastes and how they effect each of the elements within the body. We learn how to build meals for each dosha along with the eating habits which enable long lasting holistic health for each individual.

After dinner our ayurvedic experts circle in an open Q&A session with you - answering all of your questions and queries on the topics that you feel most drawn to expanding on.

Our talented vocal coach joins us on Sunday evening to lead a voice activation workshop. Discover your authentic voice as a teacher, guide and conduit for yogic knowledge.

Monday

We start the day with the third morning swim of the retreat to wash away the layers you have shed during this cleansing weekend.

Our final morning yoga asana session will bring our awareness into energising and balancing Kapha, the element of earth and water.

After breakfast we will gather for our closing circle to bring complete fullness to the retreat weekend. Our final day and we reflect on our experience and intentions going full circle back to our daily lives.

We expect the closing circle to end around 11.30am, after which time you will be invited to pack down your belongings and begin your journeys back to your homes, resting in the freshness of your new self.
