Plantation Villa is a specialist Wellness Nature Retreat situated in a rural village in Sri Lanka, specializing in Ayurveda and Yoga. We are a community center established and run by this village community.

The retreat funds and maintains the Metta Trust charity to do community development, wildlife conservation and forest preservation activities. We maintain the local temples, village schools and fund majority of the community activities in our village and surrounding villages.

PLEASE NOTE WE HAVE 2 LOCATIONS: Sri Lanka & UK SRI LANKA: Getting to Us from the Airport The main airport in Sri Lanka is the Colombo International Airport. One interesting thing to note is that this is not actually in Colombo but instead in a town called Ja-ela about 45kms north of Colombo! The Airport has been renovated and you should find it comfortable. If you want to get some cash, a local sim-card for your mobile etc, you can do this in the airport. The airport is not well linked to public transport networks yet so getting anywhere from the Airport is easiest by taxi or car. If you want to use public transport, you will need to catch a bus to Colombo and then take a train to Kalutara South or Katukurunda Station. From there, get a tuk tuk to us which will cost you about $10-15. Tuk tuk drivers are notorious to be opportunists and at times can be difficult to handle. The safest and most convenient would be a taxi or car. We maintain a car in the hotel for airport transfers of our guests to ensure their comfort and safety. Some of our guests encountered problems with outside taxis so we offer this option for those who are interested. Our car may be marginally more than outside taxi companies as they benefit from economies of scale unlike us. Our car is new, comfortable and environmentally friendly and our driver is safe and reliable. We charge $75 for a pick up including sanitization of the car, airport and highway charges. If you have booked our car to pick you up, you will find our driver at the Arrivals Hall holding up a board with your name on it. The drive will take about 1 hour along the highway that connect the airport to Colombo and Colombo to Kalutara. The plantation is about 4km from the highway exit, where the streets wind through the village, past the greenery and toward the main gates of the plantation.
