About this Retreat
Trained in Raja yoga at the Self Realization Fellowship in Los Angeles and Hatha yoga at The Yoga College of India, Beverly Hills, Naader Shagagi has been studying and practicing yoga and meditation since 1983. A former Ph.D. Candidate in Engineering, Naader also studied Philosophy and Religion before coming to Los Angeles as a disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda in 1985. A student of the great yoga master, Paramahansa Yogananda, and Sufi Mystic, Pir Inayat Khan, Naader brings a culmination of intensive study and personal experience presented to you through his yoga of Mystics® philosophy.
Carolina is a professional yoga instructor schooled in the arts of yoga and meditation. She studied under a sufi mystic and distant disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda, and began teaching in Pasadena, CA. While she has received her 200-hour certification from Yoga of Mystics®, she believes that a commitment to teaching yoga is a lifetime journey in which she sees the teacher in all, in particular her well-intended mother, mystical father, supportive and loving husband, strong-willed daughter, affectionate son and her trustworthy teacher. Carolina teaches 5-7 yoga classes every week alongside her own practice, and leads yoga retreats 3-4 times each year.
Carolina is now the Manager of Curative Yoga, LLC. as well as Vice President and Director of the Samaa Living School and Fellowship, and owner of Samaa Retreat Center.
Details of this retreat
Our annual Summer Retreat is officially on for June 24-28, 2026—and if you've been waiting for a sign to return to your practice, to nature, and to your own inner guide... this is it.
This retreat is about depth, not what's on trend. Daily yoga, meditation, and spiritual study rooted in Sufi and Yogic teachings—woven together with open conversation, chef prepared food, and space to rest. You'll move your body, clear your mind, and connect with something deeper. No fluff. Just the kind of reset that actually lasts. But you can expect this retreat to be "extra" - you'll be surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Northwest Montana: think crystal-clear rivers and lakes, snow-capped peaks, trails popping with wildflowers, and the kind of quiet you forgot was possible.
We'll breathe, laugh, learn, rest, and reconnect. And when you leave it won't really be over. The best will be to come, because you'll be anchored in something deeper. Whether you’ve been to a dozen retreats or none, this one is designed to have a lasting impact.
This year's theme: Meditation
As always, devotional time will be led by Samaa Living founder Naader, and we’ll explore his chosen teachings from both Sufism -God realization- and Yogananda's path of self-realization.
We also want you to truly experience the benefits of intentional time to relax, restore, and renew body and mind. At our summer retreat you can expect:
