Why InwardBound?

At InwardBound, our interdisciplinary team of psychotherapists, PhD scientists and holistic therapists believe in weaving together the threads of science and spirituality, knowing that the two ways are one. We work in the broad tradition of Dr Stan Grof - creating a safe container for people to access the wisdom of their own inner healer.
We come from a long tradition of psilocybin use in Ireland. Our Celtic ancestors used the wild mushrooms of Northern Europe (Psilocybe Semilanceata) and worked with the patterns of nature for healing and spiritual growth and we continue that land-based ancestral tradition to create a modern context for psilocybin ceremony and reconnection with nature.
We hold small groups with 3-4 facilitators, 8- 13 participants. This low ratio allows us to provide the highest possible standard of care for our participants.
We have worked with over 1,000 clients in this space since 2018.

Enriching Experience
I had a truly transformative experience at the Outward Bounds retreat. The facilitators were exceptional — supportive, friendly, and deeply respectful, creating a safe and caring environment throughout. The journey itself heightened my senses and deepened my appreciation for the beauty and blessing of life, while helping me recognize the futility of anger and hatred.
It was a powerful reminder of connection — with nature, with others, and with the stillness within. I’m deeply grateful for the insight and peace I gained through this retreat. Highly recommend to anyone seeking clarity, renewal, or a fresh perspective on life.

A transformative experience
I can't recommend Inwardbound highly enough. The team have put a lot of thought and care into creating a safe and nourishing environment focussed on facilitating individual healing journeys within a supportive group context. There is an impressive attention to detail coming from a deep understanding of the processes involved and learning from long experience of running the retreats. Rob, Renée and Lauretta were perfect facilitators - professional, compassionate, accomodating, and simply great human beings committed to enabling transformative experiences for everyone who attends. Thank you 🙏

Back for my second retreat!
This was my second retreat in the Netherlands with Inwardbound, and I am so happy that I came back. The Inwardbound team and experience is absolutely incredible. They take so much care with each participant and with curating the entire experience. The food, activities and care you receive are bar none. I am so happy I trusted them with my first retreat and it was beautiful to come back for a second experience. I've had two incredible experiences now and don't think I'd go to anyone else for a psilocybin retreat. I recommend them to anyone and everyone who is interested and will come back again when I'm ready for my third go. Thank you so much to Inwardbound for your care and your passion for this work!
