Sasha’s evolving story - you might call it a fairy tale - just goes to show what happens when you persevere, follow your instincts, and believe in magic.
Autumn Marie began her journey with Yoga and Breathwork a little more than 20 years ago, and has been sharing Ashtanga Yoga specifically for 12 after receiving her certification to teach while studying under her teacher Ajay Kumar at Sthalam 8 Ashtanga Yoga Vedanta Center in Mysore, India. During her yearly travels to Mysore she also deepened and completed studies in Pranayama, Bandhas and Mudras with Guruji BNS Iyengar, who is now 98 years old, and Yoga Philosophy with Sanskrit Scholar H.M. Sudheera.
She has practiced under Aura Reverol, Sharath Jois and Eddie Stern in NYC, Bibi Lorenzetti at the Newburgh Yoga Shala, Jacob Handwerker in Sri Lanka, as well as Greg and Tracy Cooper, and Amanda Stead, at the Ashtanga Yoga Centre of Melbourne in Fitzroy, Australia.
One of the biggest lessons of this journey has been that we are never masters, only forever students.
Details of this retreat
Tend to yourself. Transform the world. Honor the sacred turning of the wheel on Halloween weekend with Roots & Realms: A Samhain Retreat of Tarot, Yoga & Spellwork in the Woods.
Move through a carefully curated journey blending esoteric tarot practice with the ancient wisdom of Ashtanga-inspired yoga. From movement sessions and tarot partner readings to guided meditations, breathwork, and nature immersions, each element of the retreat is designed to help you access your deepest truths. Practices such as Sasha Graham's signature Embodied Tree of Life Manifestation, dream work, journal prompts, spellwork, and ancestral clearing offer profound opportunities for inner alchemy, allowing you to lift the veil between worlds and reconnect with your intuitive powers.
Surrounded by the ancient forests of the Catskill Mountains, Roots & Realms draws deep power from the natural world. The retreat’s setting at Menla is more than a backdrop — it is an integral part of the experience. The woods serve as sacred witness and collaborator in the work of transformation. Nature meditations, forest walks, and elemental spellwork ground the practices in the living, breathing rhythms of the Earth. In this sanctuary of stillness and wild beauty, participants are invited to root themselves into the land, attune to the subtle wisdom of the trees, and remember their place within the greater web of life. The forest becomes a mirror for the soul, offering guidance, healing, and a path to the realms beyond.
Expect a balanced schedule nourishing your body and spirit. Each day begins with optional nature immersions and class begins with grounding yoga and breathwork to awaken the body, followed by immersive tarot workshops for intuitive development and magical practice. Students will engage in partner readings, guided meditations, nature-based rituals, and creative exercises like journaling and dreamwork—all designed to deepen personal insight and spiritual connection. Between sessions, you'll enjoy three wholesome, nourishing meals per day prepared by Menla’s chefs, featuring organic, locally sourced ingredients to support vibrant energy and inner clarity. Whether you're flowing through an asana practice, pulling tarot cards beneath the trees, or sharing in group wisdom by candlelight, every moment of the retreat is crafted to help you feel supported, connected, and renewed in your supernatural self.
