About this Retreat
Malati is the founder of Gopi Yoga Center in New Jersey and a longtime teacher, guide, and spiritual friend to many. She has been teaching yoga for the past 30 years. For over 15 years, she has led transformational retreats both locally and internationally — from the sacred banks of the Ganges in India to the red rocks of Sedona, the mountains of South Africa, and the quiet beauty of the Catskills.
Deeply rooted in the teachings of Bhakti Yoga and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Malati creates spaces where seekers can reconnect to presence, purpose, and joy. Her retreats are known for their depth, heart, and a quiet power that stays with participants long after the journey ends. As a teacher, Malati brings both reverence and play. Her guidance is intuitive and grounded, blending soulful practice with laughter, community, and the grace of simply being. Whether through meditation, storytelling, or shared stillness, she holds space with devotion and care. Each retreat with Malati is an invitation — to return home to yourself, to rest in love, and to walk the path together.
Pinky is a dedicated yoga teacher from Gopi Yoga Center in New Jersey. Born and raised in India, the spirit of yoga has always been woven into her life. After raising two daughters and enjoying a successful career in the U.S. for over two decades, Pinky felt a call for something deeper. That call led her to Gopi Yoga Center, where she completed her 200-hour teacher training in May 2024.
Pinky’s classes are rooted in the heart of breath and being. Her teaching weaves together pranayama (breathwork),
accessible asana (postures), and deeply restorative savasana, creating a steady and soulful rhythm for students of all levels.
Beyond the mat, Pinky shines as a natural community builder. She brings warmth, laughter, and ease into retreat spaces, helping everyone feel at home and uplifted. Whether through spontaneous dance, heartfelt conversation, or simply holding space, Pinky leads with joy and connection at the center.
She is a compassionate, light-hearted presence who delights in Bollywood music, nature walks, and the company of her beloved dog. In every gathering, Pinky invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and celebrate the simple beauty of being together.
