Elyse is passionate about supporting people in reconnecting with their bodies, the earth, and their innate capacity for healing. With a background in transpersonal psychotherapy and advanced training in somatic therapy, psychedelic integration, and de-escalation, she blends mindfulness, eco-psychology, and somatic practices to help individuals navigate trauma, anxiety, and depression. Alongside her private practice, Cricket Song Counseling & Coaching in Portland, OR, Elyse serves as Director of Operations and retreat leader with the nonprofit Right To Heal and as an educator with InnerTrek’s Psychedelic Training Program. Rooted in earth-based spirituality, her work is guided by the belief that healing happens through deepening one’s connection to oneself, others, and the natural world.
Since 2018, Myles Katz has dedicated himself to advancing the field of legal psilocybin experiences. He co-founded The Synthesis Institute in Amsterdam, where he helped develop one of the world’s first legal psychedelic service models. This initiative supported over 1,000 individuals on their wellness journeys and included a significant partnership with Imperial College London, enriching his understanding of effective psychedelic practices. His experience with Synthesis led to an invitation onto the board of the Oregon Psilocybin Training Alliance (OPTA) and various Rule Advisory Committees for the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), where he helps shape the framework for Oregon’s legal psilocybin services.
Through the ongoing exploration of psychedelics across the globe and under the mentorship of inspirational teachers over the following eight years, Myles has developed a deep appreciation for both the power of the psychedelic experience itself and the neuroplasticity it fosters. This neuroplasticity helps individuals become open and receptive to things that otherwise feel out of reach or inaccessible due to the noise of our chaotic, technology-overloaded modern world. It has been pivotal in helping him and others make meaningful, lasting changes in the months following the psychedelic journey that once seemed impossible. He believes that knowing how to work with this neuroplasticity is key to using psychedelics as a tool to support the journey from ‘functioning’ to ‘flourishing.’
Myles’s own journey with psychedelics began at the age of 28 when he overcame his addiction to alcohol and lifted the fog of depression that had shrouded his life since the passing of his mother when he was 15. This profound experience revealed the incredible potential of psychedelics to facilitate deep healing and transformation. He is passionate and experienced in guiding individuals on their first therapeutic and inward psilocybin journeys. His goal is to help others not just make the changes they seek today but to embark on a conscious healing journey that transforms their lives.
With the Hi-U Foundation and Confluence Retreats – the nonprofit he founded and conducts his facilitation practice through – Myles utilizes his expertise to create nature-based, multi-modality psilocybin retreats within Oregon’s legal framework. These retreats are enhanced by partnerships with indigenous communities and are grounded in validated therapeutic practices, reflecting his dedication to facilitating profound personal growth and healing. At Omnia, he focuses on providing one-on-one client sessions, bringing elements of their transformative retreat experiences into a more traditional setting to maximize the therapeutic benefits of psilocybin.
Thundereater is a member of the indigenous Shasta Nation, White Eagle Clan. A 65-year old great grandfather, he has lived a very full life including serving in the US military abroad, working with plant medicines and many trainings in the realms of spirituality and healing. Most recently, by trade, he is a stone mason, and the visionary and creator of the Sacred Land’s magical Labyrinth.
As a Native American and Tibetan shaman, Thundereater has spent the last 20 years facilitating full moon healing circles at Mt. Shasta, California bringing together people of different cultures and religious frames of reference to promote the Peace and Healing of all.
Thundereater’s ancestors came to this Sacred Land (Ashland, Oregon) to heal to heal with the Hi-U-Skookum medicine, and he came to this land to play as a child. He has now returned as an Elder to help usher in the next iteration of the land’s journey and help preserve it as a place of healing for all in perpetuity.
Tsana is a dedicated yoga teacher and licensed psilocybin facilitator with nearly two decades of experience guiding others in movement, meditation, and self-inquiry. Her journey began at 16, leading her to study under Parvathi Nanda Nath, a respected teacher in the traditions of Tantra and Shree Vidya. Deeply rooted in the ancient wisdom of the yoginis, Tsana weaves philosophy, meditation, and hands-on support into her Hatha flow teaching style. Now balancing motherhood with her passion for healing work, she brings a grounded and intuitive presence to her practice, creating space for others to reconnect with themselves through breath, body, and expanded states of awareness.

Life Changing
I highly recommend Confluence Retreats if you are looking for a genuine and intentional psilocybin experience. If you are being called to plant medicine, this is your place. I had the best experience I could have possibly had and it far exceeded my expectations. From the setting in the beautiful mountains of Oregon, the accommodations, the facilitators, to the integration before and after. There was special attention and care placed on every aspect of the retreat.
I will forever be grateful for the amount of support I had through my experience. Being in the group setting was the most special part. The amount of support and guidance provided by everyone there was instrumental to the whole experience. I will forever feel connected to the group I had the experience with, including the facilitators. It truly felt like we were all meant to be there with and for each other. Knowing that I could feel safe in this setting helped me experience what I went there to accomplish.
I walked away with so much gratitude and learned to know what it means to genuinely love myself. I have become more present with my family and don’t feel so rushed and anxious in my day to day life. It was like I had a filter in the way my whole life that is now gone. Anything that was in my way or holding me back has now been left behind. I felt as though everything in my life happened for me to lead me to this point of healing so now my life and purpose in life can truly begin. My life has changed in the most amazing way and I feel so empowered by my experience. Thank you Myles, Elyse, Kai, and Thunder Eater at Confluence Retreats for all you offer to this world and provided for me. To share your special gifts with others is the greatest act of kindness.

Confluence Retreats
I had been curious and studying psilocybin for a few years being post stroke i have an avid interest in ways to heal my brain … i was so pleased to find Confluence in Oregon as i was not keen on traveling outside of the country Confluence retreats are easily accessible and legal .
I was at a crossroads in my mental health journey . Meds were no longer working, anxiety and depression were ruining life for my family, plus i had exhausted therapy/ies.
Psilocybin wasn’t within my reach here in Nevada.
I have never done psilocybin before and I was petrified but knew I had to walk this path and not let fear stop me.
The idea of healing in nature especially Oregon felt spiritually fitting to me.. this is when the call to go in my heart beckoned and couldn’t ignore this… the introductory call with Myles was at once comforting and gentle on my nervous system he’s professional knowledgeable and a champion of this sacred medicine. I felt assured and confident in moving forward.. I was able to gently taper off my meds and begin the steps to enroll.. without question I felt out of my comfort zone anxiety surrounding the journey was rising for me the retreat liaison arranged a medical consult for me to safely use a sleep aid where I would not jeopardize the effects . Hope was brewing for me … a group setting felt daunting to me at the time .. it was absolutely the epitome of a loving embrace from the moment I arrived. Myles is devoted, attentive, and is a loving spirit to all of us I never once felt alone. The team at Confluence is extraordinarily gifted and dedicated to supporting everyone personally. It was clear the focus was to provide a safe and comforting experience I think this retreat is 1st class nestled in the most soothing spiritual environment where one can exhale and just be .. Confluence fully supported my journey with a gentle hand and encouragement and continue to do so to this very day… there’s many surprise extras-breathwork, meditations group check-ins and activities to nurture spirituality and set you up for not one but two complete journeys everything is thoughtfully presented ceremonially making it all the more meaningful and intensive. I am overwhelmed thinking about how beautiful this all was .. you will never meet a more devoted group of enlightened spirits ever… Myles leads by example and is an inspiration it was the most meaningful experience of my life.

Everything changed, my path is clearer
I arrived at Confluence carrying threads I couldn’t name—old knots passed down, worn patterns that no longer fit. What happened here wasn’t just healing. It was remembering. Undoing. Becoming.
This retreat changed my life. It changed how I relate to others, to the Earth beneath my feet, and most powerfully, to myself. In the safety and freedom of this container, I uncovered generational wounds and soul contracts that had shaped me in silence—agreements I signed for survival were re-negotiated or destroyed. With guidance, presence, and deep inner work, I was able to clear them. To bless what served, and release what no longer could.
What Confluence offers is not an escape. It's something truer. A return. A reckoning. A sacred undoing and while I'm still reweaving. I know the work of Confluence is the work of the soul.
If you are called here, trust the call. Something ancient in you may be ready to shift. If you are looking for something/someone to do the work for you, keep looking. But if you're ready to do the work, follow the sometimes chaotic invitation within, Confluence Retreats may be the right fit for you.

I found peace and serenity here and 6 months later, I am so grateful.
It is difficult to put into words the experience that I had with my retreat at Confluence. I went there seeking healing from past trauma and grief from the loss of my family. I am 54 years old. Though I had prior counseling that was very helpful, this 5 day group retreat and journey, addressed the trauma different ways. The Psilocybin therapy was like visiting my family in heaven. The breathwork was just as impactful. But the groupwork and counselors became friends and I found myself sad to leave. The accommodations were wonderful. The food ...made me feel loved it was so amazing! This retreat is led by a team of people that honestly care. It is obvious that they do it as a labor of love. I highly recommend this retreat to anyone going through a tough life transition or that has dealt with trauma, addiction, illness, or just feels stuck in life. I found peace and serenity here and 6 months later, I am so grateful. I expect, I will do another retreat with Confluence. It was everything I hoped it would be...Thank you to the entire staff!
