About this Retreat
Janet first ventured onto a Holotropic Breathwork® mat in 2010. Being a lifelong journeyer into the transpersonal, she knew she had found her place to be, as a breather, a sitter being witness to a breather, and as a facilitator creating and holding the setting for others to journey through their consciousness. In 2015 she was offered a place on the GTT team, first as the registrar, and then in 2020 as the office manager. July of 2017 found Janet fully certified. She fully engages with the Holotropic Paradigm as a way of embracing everyday life.
Minnesota is Janet's birth home, but Washington State is home to her soul. Outside of work, she spends her time gardening, preserving food, cooking gastric delights, collecting rocs, adoring and interacting with her family and friends, and caring for the furry four-legged children that surround her
Sazraith Ferguson discovered their natural affinity for expanded states of consciousness in their first Holotropic Breathwork workshop. By their second workshop, they knew they wanted to be a facilitator and they currently serve as an apprentice. As an ever-curious, fluid being, they're an ongoing student of sound yoga and energetics, as well as Vajrayana Buddhist philosophy and practice as taught by Lama Tsultrim Allione. Additionally, they hold an MA in English with a concentration in professional and technical writing and are a writer and author of science fantasy novels.
Details of this retreat
Holotropic Breathwork® is a rich and potent tool for the exploration and understanding of personal consciousness.
Using the breath and evocative music, the workshop group creates a supportive space where participants can access expanded states of awareness and the Inner Healer, the innate healing wisdom of consciousness within each of us.
During the workshop, participants have the opportunity to be both a breather and a sitter. While breathing, participants may have sensory, biographical, perinatal, or transpersonal experiences that provide opportunities to address unfinished business from the past, traumatic events, cycles of birth/death/rebirth, or a variety of encounters with the inner and outer worlds. As a sitter, participants will help create a safe, supportive container for their breather to journey within.
GTT-certified facilitators and GTT apprentices in training will create a welcoming and safe retreat space and will be on hand to ensure safety and lend assistance as needed.
