Mission & Vision

Peace Retreat is a unique learning and wellness center located along the stunning Pacific coastline, called the Gold Coast, in the Province of Guanacaste, in the Northwest region of Costa Rica. Visitors at Peace Retreat experience an atmosphere centered in love, respect for the environment, personal development, and a dedication to the healing power of yoga and wellness practices.

Our mission is to presence peace, enhance wellbeing, and inspire new possibilities for self-expression and vitality.

We cater to the "food as medicine" approach. Most of our menu is plant-based, but we do have some dishes with eggs and fish. All meals can be made vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free.

Directions

The closest international airport to Peace Retreat is The Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia (LIR), Guanacaste. Peace Retreat is approximately a 75 minute drive from Liberia Airport. Many of our packages include airport transportation. If it does not, a shuttle can be added on when you book for $110 USD (one-way). Please list your flight info when you book.

The name says it all
I cannot properly express how wonderful this place and the people who created it are. And I am not being dramatic when I say the name says it all. The built environment is extremely lovely. Beautiful, understated and pristine, though blends into the local flora and fauna perfectly. The staff are supremely competant and endlessly kind and attentive. Our yoga group was integrated into the place and flow of it all seamlessly. Additionally, the classes provided by the owner Kevin were fantastic and enlightening. The vegan kitchen produced scrumptious fare that could compete with any gourmet restaurant - and I am not a vegan. The ceremonial events (sweat lodge, cacao) were deeply substantial and very meaningful.
So, if you are wondering whether this is the place...it is. Go.

Wonderful Experience! Great Yogis and Vibe!
The Peace Retreat was magical!

Margaret, Janice, Alex and Bridget created a wonderful, caring and fun environment that was filled with positivity! The Peace Retreat was a terrific setting for all kinds of yoga and fun adventures - surfing was expecially fun, paddle boarding, horseback riding, massages and more! I would highly recommend this retreat and I am excited for the next one!

The food is always delicious, nutritious and you can literally taste the love in each dish.

Excelente as always!
This was my second stay at Peace. I came for the Liberium Gnosis retreat again. The consistency with service, food, and kindness was perfect, as it was before. The new maloca that is being built is beautiful! I love being surrounded by the sounds of the jungle. Kevin’s yoga classes are always awesome! Such deep wisdom. The ceremonies with Alejandro, Berenice y Ignacio were next level! I highly recommend them. I love being so close to the beach, the La esquinita de avallanas market and cute restaurants. Thank you to Daniella, she is my favorite employee! So sweet. I will be back!
