Mission & Vision

Peace Retreat is a unique learning and wellness center located along the stunning Pacific coastline, called the Gold Coast, in the Province of Guanacaste, in the Northwest region of Costa Rica. Visitors at Peace Retreat experience an atmosphere centered in love, respect for the environment, personal development, and a dedication to the healing power of yoga and wellness practices.

We cater to the "food as medicine" approach. Most of our menu is plant-based, but we do have some dishes with eggs and fish. All meals can be made vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free.

Directions

The closest international airport to Peace Retreat is The Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia (LIR), Guanacaste. Peace Retreat is approximately a 75 minute drive from Liberia Airport. Many of our packages include airport transportation. If it does not, a shuttle can be added on when you book for $110 USD (one-way). Please list your flight info when you book.

Incredible Experience
I stayed at Peace Retreat for a 6 day yoga retreat, and it was a great experience! The staff including Monica, Kevin, Eliseo and others were so welcoming and made all of us feel at home. The food they prepared was DELICIOUS, lots of flavor and variety. They also accommodated those of us with dietary restrictions for all meals - so thoughtful and saved me the trouble of having to bring my own groceries for meals. I stayed in a bungalow (highly recommend) and it has AC and a shower with great water pressure. They offer lots of fun excursions like zip line, water tubing, beach shuttles and have an amazing spa where you can get massages and other treatments. We also had the honor of experiencing the sweat lodge ceremony & cacao ceremony. Alejandro, the shaman guided us through these powerful ceremonies and it was a very unique and life changing experience. This was a fantastic experience from start to finish, I can't wait to return. Thank you all!

Amazing experience - staff took excellent care of us!
The staff at Peace Retreat went above and beyond accommodating my dietary restrictions. I have a health condition that makes travel difficult and Peace Retreat totally understood my diet and was very careful about it. The facilities are great - pool, yoga studios, grounds. We watched several howler monkeys, including two babies, eating flowers off the trees right above us.

Things I love about Peace!...
1) The food is INCREDIBLE! - Every meal has blown me away. The flavours, the colours, and the presentation. There is even a cook book available with all of the recipes.
2) I love how everyone eats together at big tables creating a wonderful family meal vibe.
3) The atmosphere is very relaxed, quiet, peaceful, and welcoming
4) The staff is super helpful and lovely
5) I love Kevin's conversations he has before the yoga classes and the practice is always very intentional.
6) The spa treatments are wonderful and I especially love the woman's treatments with Berenice.
I highly recommend Peace Retreat!

What an Incredible Healing Space
We are in love with Peace Retreat because of the healing that happens for us while we are there! From the family style meals that allow us to be in connection, to the delicious food made with love, to the ceremonies that heal, to the practices that have me dive in deep and grow, to the jungle, the beach, and all things that roam in and around, I always feel so much gratitude for my week there! Kevin and his staff know how to hold space for a lot of healing to occur and that means so much to me and those that I have been there with! If any of that is what you are looking for, you are in the right place! Thank you to Kevin and his staff for always making our stay feel like home.

Highest praise
I just got back from a 6 day yoga/meditation retreat at Peace Retreat and I can only offer my highest praise for the place. The staff are welcoming and friendly, the vegetarian food was exceptional, and the facility peaceful and inviting. It was an ideal setting for personal reflection and doing inner work.
