Beautiful place, very small sheppard hut
Id say this place is AMAZING for a retreat! But as a couple staying in the shepherds hut not so amazing. The welcome was lovely, wonderful staff, and a beautiful place. There are no accurate pictures of the huts so going off the quality featured in the other images and that it is promoted as a luxury place I had assumed the huts would be great. They are thoughtfully decorated but alas much too small for two people self catering. The double bed is one sided. Few places to put anything that it was more convenient to leave my case on the floor than put stuff away. So unfortunately not good value for money.
I loved the outside fire and personal hot tub and the communal area with cosy fire, honesty bar and games. Oh & the breakfast hamper is a really nice touch.

Magical place
We had a fantastic stay in one of the Shepherds Huts. It was so comfortable and private. The Hot Tub was just the best, the unexpected breakfast supplied was delicious and all of the facilities were top class. The place has a magical feel to it. I highly recommend the Deerstone for a nourishing retreat.

From Jim Rossiter
Retreat was overall very good , I have no complaints . Food was so good even though I'm not a vegetarian
The Key was an issue in Fern cabin , partly due to the fact I lost it in the Yoga round room
The was some noise due to some ground work being done near to fern , but nothing to complain about
and I wasn't aware that wine was not complimentary at dinner , maybe make that better known
Overall excellent retreat and thanks to all the people concerned

An amazing and enriching experience
I was lucky enough to attend the first mid week retreat at Deerstone that felt nothing short of perfect!
The setting and design of the retreat is beautiful, the yoga was incredible, the food was something else and best of all the people around me for 4 days have become friends already! I would recommend to anyone to turn up alone and just emerce yourself at Deerstone… you won’t want to leave! I didn’t 😊
