Arkana Spiritual Center invites you to a profound voyage of self discovery at Arkana's impressive venue in the Yucatan Peninsula. The program is a carefully orchestrated sequence of sacred ancestral medicines, complemented by spiritual practices and workshops aimed at balancing your body, mind and spirit. All ceremonies will be lead by our powerful team of talented shamans and our compassionate facilitators.

Sapo (from the Bufo Alvarius toad in the Sonoran desert) contains the 5Meo DMT molecule which is also known as the God or Spirit molecule. This short and profound ceremony offers an intense, concentrated, and deeply mystical experience comparable to Hindu experiences of Moksha and Samadhi or Buddhist experiences of Nirvana. This medicine will be offered as an optional add-on for the retreat for an extra cost.
Psilocybe Mushrooms: Also known as niños santos (Holy Children) in Mexico, Psilocybe Mushrooms are powerful entheogens sought after for known for their ability to induce altered states of consciousness and their profound healing properties. They are very effective at treating diseases like depression, social anxiety, PTSD, addiction. They also heal traces of trauma stemming from physical, mental and sexual abuse. We will be serving this sacred medicine in its original Mazatec ritual, guided by shamans from the lineage of Abuela Julieta, a member of the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers.
Flight Information
• Nearest Airport: Cancun International Airport CUN
• Inbound: We recommend flying in the day prior to the start of the retreat so you can get settled in.
• Outbound: You can fly out any time after 8pm on the last day of the retreat (Saturday). We recommend staying overnight in Cancun and flying out on Sunday.
Ground Transportation: We provide a complimentary shuttle to/from the Center from Cancun.

A Truly Transformative Experience at Arkana Spiritual Retreat
My time at Arkana gave me exactly what I needed. From the moment I arrived, I felt completely supported and cared for by the incredible team of facilitators. They were warm, genuine, and deeply invested in everyone’s well-being. By the end of the retreat, they truly felt like friends. The shamans were equally wonderful, bringing such wisdom and heart to the ceremonies, which were powerful, moving, and beautifully guided.
The facilities were stunning! The rooms, the malocas, and the pool all felt like peaceful sanctuaries surrounded by nature. Every activity offered added something special to the experience, whether it was a fun jungle walk, a visit to the nearby village, or a calming yoga and sound healing session.
What really stood out to me was how thoughtfully everything was organized. Every detail seemed carefully planned, and everything flowed seamlessly. I always felt safe and supported, especially during the ceremonies, which allowed me to surrender fully to the process.

Magical journey!
No matter what brought you here to read reviews I am excited you are reading mine! My time at Arkana was nothing short of life changing. My group was 20 amazing humans all coming together to heal and grow - it was not too many people or distracting during ceremony, in case you might be thinking that. Everyone came for different reasons - addiction, grief, trauma, spiritual growth…. and we all received so much!
I ended up splurging on one of their new jungle suites and it was spectacular! I loved having my private space including a shower and restroom of my own.
Everything from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave is perfectly planned with love and intention! ALL of the staff pour their hearts into your healing journey, it is incredible! The traditions, the music, the plant baths!
I am a month out and still feeling my experience deep in my soul!! If you are feeling called and have gotten this deep into your research, trust that you are meant to be a part of the Arkana family, you will not regret it, I promise!
I did one week in the jungle and then did the 4 day extension to the Sacred Valley which was also magical!
A few tips - Be sure to bring some things for the kiddos in the village next door, clothes, toys, school supplies - they appreciate anything and you get to visit them! Treat yourself to a massage, it is so rejuvenating during a week of medicine. If you are feeling called, book it ;)

I recently visited the Arkana Spiritual Center Retreat in the Amazon, Peru — and it was a truly transformative experience.
Having done shorter two-day retreats in the U.S., I thought I knew what to expect, but Arkana took the journey to another level. I put a lot of thought where to attend for my first plant medicine retreat and I could not be more pleased with my choice. I attended the Amazon for the 7 day Ayahuasca Retreat at Arkana Spiritual Center.
The location itself was incredible. To be in the jungle surrounded by nature close to the source of the medicine was so profound. The amenities were incredible and beautifully designed. Everywhere was spectacularly clean and you can tell how much care all of the staff put into the location. The food was beautifully presented delicious and nutritious.
The excursions available added some incredible experiences to the whole experience and guides were so passionate and knowledgeable not only providing amazing excursions but providing education with each trip. You can tell they are so passionate about what they do which just added to the experience.
The activities provided during the retreat were amazing. From Yoga to sound baths every part of the retreat is designed to help you on your journey of healing through your mind body and soul.
The facilitators were some of the most pure souls I have ever encountered creating a welcoming safe space where you felt cared for every step of the way.
I was honoured and privileged to be in the presence of the Shamans and for the opportunity to receive healing. The icaros were so powerful and spoke strait into your heart.
There is so much care and respect put into the medicine knowing Arkana practices regarding the medicine to be sustainable, environmentally conscious and ethical was also important to me and this was clear throughout my duration at Arkana. I worked with Ayahuasca and Bufo during my time at Arkana the ceremonies were beautiful and opened the door to inner healing and deep introspection. I know my experience working with the medicine has just begun and I am overwhelmed with gratitude for Arkana for providing me sanctuary and guiding me on this journey.
