Sacred Medicines
Sapo (from the Bufo Alvarius toad in the Sonoran desert) contains the 5Meo DMT molecule which is also known as the God or Spirit molecule. This short and profound ceremony offers an intense, concentrated, and deeply mystical experience comparable to Hindu experiences of Moksha and Samadhi or Buddhist experiences of Nirvana. This medicine will be offered as an optional add-on for the retreat for an extra cost.

Psilocybe Mushrooms: Also known as niños santos (Holy Children) in Mexico, Psilocybe Mushrooms are powerful entheogens sought after for known for their ability to induce altered states of consciousness and their profound healing properties. They are very effective at treating diseases like depression, social anxiety, PTSD, addiction. They also heal traces of trauma stemming from physical, mental and sexual abuse. We will be serving this sacred medicine in its original Mazatec ritual, guided by shamans from the lineage of Abuela Julieta, a member of the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers.

Flight Information
• Nearest Airport: Cancun International Airport CUN
• Inbound: We recommend flying in the day prior to the start of the retreat so you can get settled in.
• Outbound: You can fly out any time after 8pm on the last day of the retreat (Saturday). We recommend staying overnight in Cancun and flying out on Sunday.

Ground Transportation: We provide a complimentary shuttle to/from the Center from Cancun.

Experience of a lifetime!

After losing my son 2 years ago I have been on a healing journey which is what lead me to consider an ayahuasca retreat. After much research about the plant medicine I researched the many retreats around the world. I chose Arkana based on 2 things, one it was in Peru which I believe is the most sacred place on earth, and the reviews were all so positive.
I just returned a week ago from the Sacred Valley retreat. Just the ride from the hotel in Cusco with Bob and the 7 others that were attending made me feel like I made the right choice right away. My experience was life changing. As I walked thru the doors to the retreat, I was immersed in the smell of Palo Santo, and greeted with song and celebration of colorful dancers and singers, complete with a baby Alpaca. The grounds are stunning with the Urubamba River rushing by. I was greeted by. Luke one of the facilitators, he was so kind and caring. The food as others have mentioned prepared by Socrates was out of this would! It was like it was prepared for a Michelin star restaurant. If I could give Arkana 10 stars I would, they see to ever detail to make it as authentic of an experience as you could want. I felt safe and cared for by everyone. I came back feeling the most peace and calm I have ever felt. My friends all say I look like a different person. I plan on returning for another retreat to continue on my healing journey. If you are considering an Ayahuasca retreat look no further. Others in the area charge upwards of $18,000 and the experience is not as safe and authentic. Arkana is a fair price for what they offer.

Beautiful, Magical Week

I've had other experiences with the medicine before, but Arkana truly blew me away. This was a medicine retreat, but it also felt like a life transformation retreat in general. The level of care and attention they put into every activity blew me away. The care from the facilitators and comfort I felt during ceremonies is enough for me to recommend this place to others, but there are so many reasons why this place is amazing.

A Journey of Self Acceptance

When I received my work bonus at the end of November, I knew that it was meant to go to some sort of healing retreat. Call it coincidence, call it a synchronicity; whatever it was, it was the catalyst that paved the path for me to begin my search for deep healing. After investigating other centers I found Arkana. Something about the location, the vibration, the message of the center deeply resonated with me. I felt as if I would be departing on a spirit quest. All of those thoughts and feelings were confirmed. I can't express a single element of the journey that I would deem as "bad". From the food, lodging, and overall logistics of the experience I felt completely taken care of. I felt safe to do the work. But the deeper elements of the experience; The Shamans, Facilitators, and the medicine that was experienced, all of these things changed me in a way that to write about would be to lessen the experience itself. Arkana helped me see that the place itself was not the medicine. Even the medicine itself wasn't the thing that brought me deep healing. It was the turning into myself and finding the light inside of myself that I hadn't seen for many years. I cannot recommend enough this sacred place to those considering.
