Much needed peace, tranquility and disconnection
Sincerely, I didn't expect to relax, disconnect and rest so well during these 4 days. The Silent Retreat (with live music -cello) was exactly what I needed.
It was not only necessary to silence our words, we were also asked not to use a lot of body language, no gaze (but two huge friendly doggies were giving us all the warmth one could need:)) At first, it was a bit strange because we are so used to all these polite words and these superficial smiles in our daily world. But after the first day, the mind became quieter and was fascinated by the slow movements (the walking meditation in the forest was really something - we only did a few hundred meters, but sometimes it took more than 1 hour, and each of them was with a sort of task, oh, and was rewarded with breathtaking views (we were 1660 m high). In winter, this place should be a paradise with snow and fireplace (which we also had two evenings because it was quite fresh up there, such relief after the heat of Valencia! And not even one mosquito!)
I love how everything we did, was mindful, slow, full of grace and conscience.
It was a luxury that we were only 6 (later 5) international people with our 2 guides/teachers (wise and soothing Frode and spiritual, creative Carlota), which means that we all had our space (each of the ourselves - a room) in this simple, but cute and very clean Norwegian wooden house.
I cannot mention the delicious vegetarian food (Gracias Carlota! ), I wanted to save each recipe:)
One of the best parts is that we were asked to shut down our mobile phones for the whole time. It was an extraordinary and enriching experience ... And I have to say, ridiculous price for everything you get (also art, music meditations).
It's such a generous and beautiful job you guys do, if at least some percentage of people would do it, I'm sure this world would be a better place. Gracias! 🙏🏻
