About this Retreat
Gabriela is a mother, healer and carrier of the ancient feminine rituals of her home country of Mexico. She has done deep study with the grandmother’s of her community for many years and applies practices for the womb, of working with plants, and of keeping sacred rituals with the rhythms of the land to her own life and also for her family and community.
She will be guiding us in working with the local healing plants by infusing them into honey, creating a healing sweetness for each woman to bring back some of the sweetness we share in our time together.
Kunti's yoga teaching is rooted in a family tradition of Hatha Yoga pioneers, having grown up immersed in yoga and spiritual discipline. She is a yoga teacher with over 20 years of experience, certified in Hatha, Kundalini, and Ashtanga yoga.
Her journey includes teaching at Miri Piri Academy in India and studying Ashtanga Yoga in Rishikesh with Master Yogi Khamal Singh. Kunti’s approach unites technique, curiosity, and a holistic view of yoga as a path to integrate body, mind, and spirit.
Karan Khalsa is an entrepreneur who has spent the last two decades running businesses that create community and transformation. She is the founder and patron of Mahai Retreat while also running as well as Spirit Voyage Records, Sat Nam Fest and Sat Nam Foundation.
Before Karan started her journey as a businesswoman, her passion was writing. She studied Literature and Education at Marymount University in Virginia, and then later Creative Writing at Goddard College. She believes that writing is both an art and a form of medicine, and it is part of her own journey of healing. In her workshops, Karan creates a supportive space for participants to explore writing as a pathway to introspection, creativity, therapy, and personal growth.
