Madrediosa is located 7 minutes walk from the beach and 10 minutes bike from the Puerto Viejo Downtown, at the same time is immersed in the jungle. Surrounded by wild green nature, monkeys, tucans, hammingbirds, awesome butterflies and beautiful flowers, it's a magical place to reset, be reborn, heal, connect with Mother Earth and meet a new part of yourself.

Safe, sacred healing at Madrediosa
Choosing Mar at Madrediosa to guide my first ayahuasca ceremonies was the best choice I could have made. Mar resides on a beautiful property in the midst of the jungle, surrounded by rich and gorgeous plant and animal life.

I did ayahusca ceremony + ayahuasca ceremony with kambo . Mar offered a consultation prior to the experience to ask about health conditions, address any concerns/needs, and inform you about the experience.

Mar is a very experienced practitioner and facilitated a beautiful, meaningful ceremony every time. While everyone’s experience is unique and individual, and Mar was able to expertly guide me through my ceremonies, made me feel comfortable, and intuitively helped me with whatever I needed. On top of facilitating your ceremonies, Mar shows you around town, including the best beaches and restaurants around Puerto Viejo.

Ayahuasca ceremony with Mar was an incredibly life altering experience in a positive way. After ceremony, I walked away with a renewed sense of internal peace, understanding, and compassion for myself and others around me. I was able to address and heal parts of myself that had been repressed since childhood.

First Ayahuasca Experience
I traveled from Chicago to Costa Rica to experience Ayahuasca. As I searched many options online to service, Mar's profile seemed legit and welcoming, and my outcome was absolutely correct. I booked Mar for 2 sessions, and both sessions were different however they were managed well accordingly by Mar. During my first session I was a bit in fear, Mar handled me with much grace which helped me recaliberate my emotions, due to her guidance my second session went on smoothly.... In addition to the ceremonies I stayed 2 extra days (in order to rest) she made sure all my needs were met, she was attentive, honest, kind and welcoming. Not for a day I felt like I was away from home. I highly suggest Mar if you're wanting to experience Ayahuasca. I'm certainly going back to try kamboo and have few more Ayahuasca sessions with Mar. :)

A Magical, Healing Experience with a Truly Soulful Guide
If you’re even thinking about doing a retreat with Mar… just go. Seriously. She is such a warm, healing presence, the kind of person you instantly feel safe around. So tuned in, so kind, so full of heart.
She’s like this earthy, bohemian Italian goddess living in the jungle. She’s super grounded but also totally tapped into the magic. You can tell she really cares, like deeply. She listens, she sees you, and she holds space in such a gentle, powerful way.

The whole retreat setting is unreal, it’s pure Costa Rica magic. Everything’s intentional but relaxed, natural but elevated. I felt so nurtured the whole time. Like my nervous system finally exhaled.

Can’t recommend her enough. If you’re craving something real, soulful, and actually healing… Mar is your person. Just go.

Peaceful paradise
When you arrive to this beautiful property you instantly know this is a sacred space. Surrounded by nature and away from the hustle and bustle, it’s the perfect place to rest and relax outside of ceremony.
I had big expectations of what the medicine would do for me. For some reason it didn’t effect me in the ways you expect from aya, much to my disappointment. I know there are several reasons this can happen.
However, I still feel like the medicine worked on me in unseen ways. I’m more clear on making the choices I need to in order to live the way I want to. So in that sense it still gave me what I asked for, clarity.
Mar was there every step of the way to guide and nurture me. She has been checking on me to see how I’m doing since I left. I feel like I made a lifelong friend in her. I would definitely go again.

Stepping into the retreat at Madrediosa felt like entering sacred ground—rooted in the heart of the jungle, supported not only by the wisdom of the plants, but by Mar’s loving guidance and Mother Nature’s steady embrace. The environment was peaceful, deeply intentional, and infused with spirit. Every detail made it clear: this was a space created for healing.

I intentionally tried to arrive without expectations, but as my journeys with Kambo and Ayahuasca unfolded, I discovered hidden layers within myself that were ready to be released. Returning to the medicine more than once allowed for a profound deepening—each ceremony taking me further into myself with clarity and trust.

Mar was the perfect guide through it all. She communicated clearly and consistently, making sure we always knew what to expect. Her presence during ceremonies was calm and reassuring, and outside of ceremony, she remained just as grounded and available. I felt held in every sense—emotionally, energetically, and spiritually.

What I’ve experienced at Madrediosa has already changed my life. The teachings I’ve worked with for years suddenly landed in a way they never had before. The integration I had been seeking finally took root. I understand now, not just in my mind but in my body and soul. I can feel the shift in how I move, how I speak, and how I listen to life. And I know this is just the beginning.

I’ll be back. No question.
