Madrediosa is located 7 minutes walk from the beach and 10 minutes bike from the Puerto Viejo Downtown, at the same time is immersed in the jungle. Surrounded by wild green nature, monkeys, tucans, hammingbirds, awesome butterflies and beautiful flowers, it's a magical place to reset, be reborn, heal, connect with Mother Earth and meet a new part of yourself.

Although we don't offer meals at our retreats, you have access to our kitchen and there are many places you will want to try around here. They are nice and accessible, but the diet must be vegetarian.

Directions

From the San Jose airport you can travel to Puerto Viejo by flight, shuttle, bus or car. I will pick you up at Caribbean's Chocolate and Coffee on the main street. Just 7 mins walk away from our location. After registration, you can contact me directly for any question! 🙏

A Sacred Space for Transformation

My Ayahuasca session with Mar was truly life-changing. Her retreat is set deep in the jungle — a serene, mystical place where nature and spirit flow together. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the peaceful energy that surrounds everything.

During the ceremony, Mar held the space with incredible strength and care, allowing everyone to connect safely and deeply with the medicine. I’ve joined other retreats before, but my experience with Mar was on an entirely different level. The visions and insights I received were profound and transformative.

After the ceremony, we all lay down in the yard, gazing up at the endless sky filled with stars — it was pure magic.

The best thing happened in Costa Rica

I had a most amazing experience with Mar. The place is so cool and cozy. She is welcoming and deeply insightful. The encounter with her was amazing and we had a great time after the ceremony as well. I also had a ceremony with her teacher and that was awesome as well. She is surrounded by beautiful people and she is super spiritual and goddess like. I would go back to her definitely. Very very highly recommended.

This is the place for your Ayahausca journey! Mar and her sacred space is the exact place to go to experience the exploration and transformation of your soul. It’s difficult to put into words my experience while journeying in this little piece of heaven on earth with Mar as my guide. Her profile says she’s been doing this work for 8 years, but I was shown she is an ancient shaman who has been guiding souls for centuries! Mar is wise and kind with a true anointing from heaven. She is the person you want by your side while embarking on this most important adventure. First Aya Experience

I couldn't have chosen a better guide and setting for my first ceremony. After researching Aya and looking at different retreats I found Mar and, although I was a bit nervous going forward with it, I felt I made the right decision after my first video call with her. Mar was curious about me, my challenges, my intentions and provided me with helpful information that helped me feel more at ease going into this journey. Her ceremony space and the surrounding land is beautiful, and meeting her in person further confirmed I made the right choice. I would've said initially that I went into ceremony with no expectations; however, afterwards I recognized I had hopes of having a certain kind of experience. Although I didn't quite have the experience I was maybe expecting/anticipating, what I noticed in the week afterwards is an incredible shift in how I am feeling physically and emotionally (for the better). The changes I've noticed have been absolutely remarkable, and so now I only wish I could've stayed longer to participate in more ceremonies to see what else could've come up. I would love to come back to Puerto Viejo in the future and work with Mar again, and I can't recommend her enough to take you on this journey!
