A Year for Me: The New Year Self-Care Retreat

Date
January 16 - 19, 2026

About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

RECLAIM YOUR LIFE THIS YEAR. Take back your time. Take back your energy.
Bring your life back into balance. If youʻve been going going going, or giving giving giving, we invite you to join us this January to start the new year with new habits, new perspectives, and new intentions to take back your life and reclaim your energy.

Have you been giving from an empty cup? Are you exhausted, agitated, annoyed, impatient, or simply numb?

If so, this is your time to bring your energy into balance, back to center.  When life gets so busy, and we get caught up in the cycle of keeping up with deadlines, work, family, caregiving, entertaining, and so many other types of maintenance, we can lose track of what's important, like our well-being, inner peace, laughter, and our personal truth.

You matter, and you are more than enough. So many tasks can wait for now. Your family or job will be fine without you for a few days.

Nourish yourself and enjoy three nights at Ratna Ling to unwind, reflect, and breathe into yourself again. Refill your cup. Remember what you value the most, and then return to your life with a renewed sense of ease, joy, and strength.

This weekend includes:

Yoga for all levels
Relaxation Practices
Meditation for all levels
Journaling & Reflection
Soundbath with Special Guest Sound Healer Kimberly Millard
Optional Bodywork + Wellness Services

COVID POLICY: For your safety and ours, we require that all guests be vaccinated against Covid and provide proof of a negative covid test result within 48 hours of arrival.  We wish to provide peace of mind for all of our residents and guests.

Mindful Mondays - a gem!
We recently completed Mindful Mondays in November with Gloria. Such a treat to spend time learning, listening, and talking with others while absorbing information and techniques for mindfulness and meditation. We have already reaped the benefits of using the practices at home, work, and with others. Such a treat to be in Gloria's tender care. Thank you!

Mindful Mondays book club
Dear Gloria,

I wanted to extend gratitude for yet another inspiring Mindful Mondays class. This class came as I was embarking a major transition in my life. I have enjoyed all of your mindful Monday classes since they started during the pandemic! They are always very inspiring and tangible to my life at that time. You have a very inspiring way to connect with your students and find skillful ways to help them engage in your classes which helps make an educational and interactive class!
I always find the readings you choose from Rinpoche's books to be relevant to my life at that time.

Thank you for continuing to host these online classes which gives me a chance to reconnect with Rinpoche and our Sangha.

Now that I am finished with Graduate school. Hopefully I will be able to attend a retreat at Ratna Ling sometime in the near future. I remember cleaning up the land over there on a Sunday work day with Rinpoche years ago when I was a volunteer at Occitan! It will be nice to experience his vision of this center in person :)

My favorite retreat center
I love Ratna Ling. The cabins are spacious, filled with windows and high ceilings, and very clean. The staff are so kind and helpful. They gives tours of the temple, property, nearby hikes, and talks about the history of the property. The vegetarian food is absolutely delicious and satisfying. Recently they have begun making bread which is fresh and hard to resist.

I've come here 6 times now and can't wait to come back. Every time I'm here, the stress of life just melts away and feel so cared for and rejuvenated. This is a special place.
