Salma (she/her) is a queer, Indian, Los Angeles-based facilitator devoted to curating inclusive spaces for personal growth and self-care. Drawing from the timeless wisdom of yoga, she guides individuals to cultivate presence, authenticity, and self-acceptance by focusing on mindfulness and compassion.
Beyond her work as a facilitator, Salma is a structural engineer, a cat mom, and an avid traveler who finds solace in the beauty of nature and exploring unique artistic and cultural landscapes. A lover of deep conversation, she finds joy in exploring the interconnectedness of all things and embracing new perspectives. In her free time, she writes poetry, reads, and nurtures her creative expression.

Spend three nourishing nights in the serene redwoods of Northern California, where time moves differently and the land itself invites you to slow down. At Ratna Ling, you’ll be supported by nature, silence, wholesome meals, and a gentle rhythm of offerings designed to replenish your mind, body, and spirit.
Whether you’re feeling burnt out, navigating transition, or simply in need of stillness, this retreat provides a sacred pause. It’s a place to remember what matters, so you can return to your life with greater clarity, spaciousness, and strength.
What’s Included in Your Retreat Weekend:
Yoga for All Levels - Ground your body and calm your mind through gentle, accessible yoga sessions suitable for everyone—from first-timers to seasoned practitioners.
Relaxation Practices - Enjoy guided deep rest, breathwork, and somatic awareness to release accumulated tension and soften into presence.
Meditation for All Levels - Simple, grounding meditation practices will help you reconnect with your inner stillness and cultivate awareness.
Nature Walks - Step outside, breathe the fresh forest air, and explore the peaceful trails surrounding Ratna Ling. Let the beauty of nature guide you back to center.
Time for Reflection - Unstructured time each day offers the opportunity to journal, nap, read, or simply sit quietly—just being with yourself.
Optional Bodywork & Wellness Services - Treat yourself to a massage or wellness session with one of our gifted practitioners (available for an additional fee; booking recommended in advance).

COVID POLICY: For your safety and ours, we require that all guests be vaccinated against Covid and provide proof of a negative covid test result within 48 hours of arrival. We wish to provide peace of mind for all of our residents and guests.

Transportation to/from Ratna Ling is NOT included - carpooling encouraged
Payments are nonrefundable and transferable to a future Ratna Ling stay or retreat
Each cottage includes TWO private rooms with queen beds, large dining & living area, gas fireplace,
spacious deck, jacuzzi tub, linens/towels/hand soap, kitchenette with tea & coffee, complimentary wireless internet. Towels and hand soap are provided.
vegetarian meals are served during our weekend together.
