Details of this retreat

Build strength in your body. Find steadiness in your mind. Reconnect with your capacity to meet life with resilience.

Life asks a lot of us. Whether we’re navigating change, stress, uncertainty, or simply the demands of everyday life, our ability to stay grounded often begins in the body. Strong and Resilient is a rejuvenating weekend in the Northern California redwoods designed to help you cultivate physical strength, mental clarity, and a deeper sense of inner steadiness through yoga, Pilates, meditation, and meaningful connection.

Throughout the weekend, experienced yoga teacher and certified Pilates instructor Denelle Numis will guide you through an energizing blend of yoga and Pilates. Yoga invites us to balance strength with flexibility, effort with ease, and movement with awareness. Pilates complements this practice by developing core strength, stability, precision, and control. Together, these practices offer a powerful way to feel stronger and more supported—not only on the mat, but in the way you move through your life.

There will be plenty of time simply to be. Between sessions, enjoy nourishing vegetarian meals prepared by Ratna Ling’s kitchen, take quiet walks beneath towering coastal redwoods, rest in the peaceful surroundings, and connect with a welcoming community of fellow practitioners. Away from the noise and responsibilities of daily life, the weekend offers space to remember what it feels like to be grounded, energized, and fully present.

Denelle Numis is a seasoned yoga teacher (E-RYT 500), certified Pilates instructor, and returning Ratna Ling retreat facilitator. Her thoughtful approach brings together intelligent movement, mindfulness, and accessible practices that support greater strength and well-being.

This weekend includes:

Yoga & Pilates
Meditation
Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra
Nourishing vegetarian meals prepared with care by the Ratna Ling kitchen
Time for rest, reflection, and connection in the beauty of the coastal redwoods
A supportive community and space to reconnect with yourself

Come as you are—whether you’re a longtime practitioner or simply looking for a weekend to move, breathe, recharge, and feel stronger.

Rooted in Nature Yoga retreat
This is my second time visiting Ratna Ling. The location is absolutely beautiful! Being surrounded by Oaks and majestic redwood trees while hearing sounds of nature truly soothed my soul.

The Retreat Center compliments the surrounding natural beauty. Not only is the retreat center beautifully appointed with windows opening out onto nature; it is impeccably clean, the staff is lovely and the calm energy is infectious to all who are lucky enough to visit.

I stayed in one of the wooden cottages and not only was it beautifully clean, the beds were incredibly comfortable. The cottages are paneled with wood and the natural beauty of the interior harmonizes with the views out the windows. The deck is perfect for stargazing. Everything was there for me to be able to reset myself. I remain grateful for my time at Ratna Ling. 🙏 Namaste
