Rejuvenation & Self-Healing Through Ancient Tibetan Wisdom

This retreat aims at Eliminating Obstacles (Geksel) through reconnecting with the Five Elements, Five Chakras, and Five Inner Lights, which help us to understand our nature and supports us in meeting life’s challenges with clarity, balance, and awareness. Rooted in the wisdom of Tibetan Buddhism and Sowa Rigpa (Science of Healing), participants are guided to explore their unique elemental constitution and to understand how the Five Elements — Space, Wind, Fire, Water, and Earth — guide body, energy, and mind.

Through experiential teachings and meditative practice, this retreat offers an accessible yet profound introduction to Tibetan Medicine, suitable for both experienced practitioners and those new to meditation. The intention is to cultivate a deeper connection with one’s true nature, supporting self-healing and the healing of others, emotional balance, and embodied understanding through the integration of ancient wisdom and contemplative practices.

Beautiful setting in the Catskills
I attended a retreat at Menla recently for the first time and enjoyed the experience. I am not vegan but found the vegan offerings to be excellent. I shared a small house with two bedrooms and a shared bathroom house called Panther that had a great view of the stream and woods, and was centrally located on the property. The conference center was very comfortable and spacious. And a bonus - the water from the nearby spring is excellent.

Reinventing your life
Food was delicious! Accommodations and conference space worked well. My katmandu neighbor had a mouse which freaked me out a bit but it was the last day. A beautiful place to visit and relax

A magical place for renewal and inspiration!
Immediately upon arriving, I knew this was going to be a special weekend. The facilities offered many options for our participants with respect to level of privacy and associated price points. The grounds were beautiful, and I especially appreciated the option of a group hike in the morning. Seeing the sun rise through the trees brought peace and multiple metaphors for hope. If you are looking for a place that you will always remember, Menla is it!

The Best
Menla is the best; Reminds me of what Kirpalu was like decades ago - It was like being at home in nature. Peaceful. The food was the best too. Just wonderful. I know I will be back. Thank you for a singular experience : )
