Details of this retreat
Beginners and experienced students alike are invited to this Tibetan Yoga retreat with master yogin Alejandro Chaoul as he focuses on exploring the different dimensions of the five elements (earth, water, fire, air, and space), in their internal and external dimensions.
In this four-day retreat, we will learn, practice, and refine the Tsa lung (channels & breath) movements from the Bön Ma gyu (Mother Tantra) from the chapter of the elements, in their external, internal and secret practices. This distinctive Tibetan practice of yoga known as Tsa lung combines physical movements, breath retention, and awareness, giving you the opportunity to experience connecting with your subtle body as a mandala with its channels and chakras.
Alejandro will also share some of the studies used in clinical research at MD Anderson Cancer Center, in Houston, which relate to these practices. As Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, who was also an advisor to these studies, mentions, these are “a wonderful support for all spiritual practitioners, not just for those with an interest in physical yogas,” or those with illnesses.
By harmonizing the winds (lung, prana, or chi) and guiding their flow through physical and energetic dimensions, Tsa lung Trul khor can clear long-held blocks in your body, energy, and mind, supporting your healing as well as the spontaneous arising of primordial awareness during formal meditation and in everyday life.
Weather permitting, we will practice inside and outside. Join us for this special retreat in a special land of healing!
