Join this special offering by Ratna Ling Resident Teachers for a weekend of exploring relaxation techniques, as taught by Tarthang Tulku.

Do you continuously experience stress or overwhelm? Do you have a hard time letting go and softening? If you are needing a space to take a breath and to slow down, this weekend was designed for you. Indulge in a full weekend where you get to simply unwind and release your grip.

This retreat, devoted to relaxation, invites a new way of being—one of softening, listening, and gently returning to yourself. Guided by resident teachers of Ratna Ling, the sessions are based on the subtle yet powerful practices of Kum Nye Tibetan Yoga, as taught by Tarthang Tulku. Through mindful movement, breath, and deep relaxation, you’ll begin to unwind layers of tension held in the body and nervous system. As your edges soften, a natural sense of ease and presence can emerge—one that doesn’t need to be forced or achieved, but simply allowed.

Held within the quiet beauty of Ratna Ling’s forest sanctuary, this immersive weekend offers space to slow down and reconnect with your innate capacity for awareness and calm. You’ll explore how to meet life’s challenges with more openness and fluidity, shifting from habitual patterns of rigidity into a more responsive, embodied way of being. Whether you are new to Kum Nye Tibetan Yoga or returning to deepen your practice, this retreat offers a nurturing environment to rest, restore, and rediscover the quiet strength of a relaxed and open heart.

For 1 person who is willing to share a cottage with a stranger of the same gender, please choose the first option, paying as low as $600.


For 1 person who wants a private 2-room cottage, please choose the second option, paying as low as $1200.


For 2 people who want to share a 2-room cottage, please register separately using the first option, paying as low as $600 per person.

Transportation to/from Ratna Ling is NOT included - carpooling encouraged
Payments are nonrefundable and transferable to a future Ratna Ling stay or retreat
Each cottage includes TWO private rooms with queen beds, large dining & living area, gas fireplace, spacious deck, jetted bathtub, linens/towels/hand soap, kitchenette with tea & coffee, complimentary wireless internet. 
Vegetarian meals are served during our weekend together.

Directions

San Francisco International and Oakland International airports are approximately three hours south of Ratna Ling by car. Alaska Airlines flies to and from Sonoma County Airport in Santa Rosa which is approximately 1.5 hours from Ratna Ling by car. Unfortunately, there are no shuttles that bring you directly to Ratna Ling, so it is best to rent a car or email us to support in coordinating a carpool with fellow retreatants.

Accommodation

14 guest cottages on 120 acres of property. Each spacious, quiet cottage has 2 private rooms, with high ceilings and a deck with a view. Cottages include jet tubs (or ADA shower), towels, deluxe linens, refrigerator, tea kettle, coffee/tea, kitchen sink/counter, diningware, dining table, and living room with a stove fireplace. Free wifi available and a landline telephone. Guests can choose to have an exclusive cottage for ONE person; a private room for ONE person in a SHARED cottage; or a cottage for TWO people. Any additional guest after TWO is $100 per person per night. Meals and classes included.

Menu Types

All of our meals are organic and vegetarian, made with love and care. We provide homemade yogurt and granola for breakfast. Lunches and dinners always include salads or salad bar. Each meal is self-served on a buffet table.

Meditation retreat
I cannot recommend highly enough. I knew very little (essentially nothing) about Ratna Ling before I took myself here last weekend for a retreat. All I knew is that I had been under a lot of stress. This place is magical. I have begun my healing journey thanks to this experience I gave myself. Wonderful staff and teachers and amazing food. Very comfortable, relaxing accommodations. I will be going back and soon!

Peaceful and deep healing
My weekend at Ratna Ling for a meditation retreat was so extremely peaceful and healing - it was completely unexpected. I realized very quickly that any insecurity I held about my practice or journey was self created struggle, as there was zero feelings of intimidation or discomfort regarding my level of meditative mastery or lack thereof. The option of silence was a surprisingly welcomed and appreciated aspect for me to allow myself to stay inward, open, and contemplative about my experience. I cannot wait to return to this beautiful, healing and delicious place.

My experience was great! Taylor was open, welcoming, easy to understand and follow. The food was delicious! The only little thing I want to mention is the cleanliness of the cabin. For the most part is was good, but there were spiders and webs in my bedroom when you look up, higher than eye level. A few webs in the living room light fixtures as well.
