About this Retreat
Johanna Mosca, PhD, a seasoned Yoga educator, retreat leader, and self-help author, has just introduced a new book -- Sedona Soul Stretch: 10 Ancient Yoga Principles to Heighten Consciousness and Performance.
Captivated by the mystical beauty of Sedona, Johanna Mosca, Ph.D., left her long-time job as an educational consultant for the New York City Teacher Centers Consortium in 1992 and camped out in Sedona, AZ, for fourteen months. Johanna enjoyed practicing Yoga on the red rocks so much that she founded Sedona Spirit Yoga & Vortex Journeys, which has now won Best-of-Sedona Awards for six consecutive years, from 2019 to 2024.
Johanna holds a Ph.D. from New York University and six Yoga and Meditation Certifications. She also earned two 300-hour program diplomas as a Master Practitioner of Richard Miller's Inner Restoration Yoga Nidra Meditation, and Alberto Villoldo's Shamanic Energy Medicine. Johanna has 33 years of experience teaching Yoga and pursuing advanced studies in Yoga and Meditation training. She is a Yoga Alliance E-RYT500, YACEP instructor, and Director of past Yoga Alliance approved YogaLife Teacher Trainings.
Recently, Johanna became fascinated with PSYCH-K® belief change and was certified in Basic and Advanced Courses as a PSYCH-K® Facilitator. She is the author of several books and CDs, including YogaLife: 10 Steps to Freedom and Teen Triumph: 10 Ways to a Winning Life.
Johanna’s passion lies in guiding guests inward as she shares her lifelong study and practice of Yoga, Meditation, Shamanic Energy Clearing, and PSYCH-K® belief change. Her focus has expanded, beyond enjoying the benefits of Yoga and nature walks, to Body, Mind, and Spirit Healing. She is now leading retreats, based on her book Sedona Soul Stretch: 10 Ancient Yoga Principles to Heighten Consciousness and Performance, for everyone to bring out the best they can be with the greatest peace and contentment in life.

At our Sedona Soul Stretch Retreats, Johanna has been equally blessed to have Roxanne Wessel share her exuberant energy to guide our guests on red rock Yoga journeys. Roxanne has been affiliated with Sedona Spirit Yoga for over 15 years, working freelance to lead occasional retreat hikes and vortex journeys with continued success.
Roxanne discovered Yoga almost 30 years ago and has been teaching a variety of classes to all ages in the community. Her certifications include: 200hr hatha yoga, multi Zumba® formats, Pilates, ACE Personal Trainer, Silver Sneakers and more. She enjoys the continuing education that comes with being in the health and fitness industry.
Roxanne is a YOUTHing advocate, incorporating her Young Living Essential Oils’ rejuvenating Raindrop Technique and soothing ‘oil change’ sessions, Lifewave Stem Cell technologies, and good outdoor living~
Roxanne says: “I love to experience the playful richness of life. Details of this retreat
Our coed Sedona Soul Stretch Yoga, Healing, and Hiking Retreat on Nov. 6-9, is coed for everyone on the spiritual growth path. Our focus is on the true essence of Yoga, which is uniting your body, mind and spirit. We do gentle Yoga and guided meditation in a variety of integrated styles, including Kripalu Yoga, Classical Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga and Inner Restoration Yoga Nidra--to open your heart, release stress, increase energy flow, and access greater inner peace and clarity. One of our themes is "Relax, Release, Receive, and Renew."

Directions
Book flight to PHX, Sky Harbor International Airport, NOT Flagstaff. Flagstaff airport is a small closer airport with minimal flights, not advised. Renting a car is convenient for touring the area and visiting attractions on free time, but not required as transportation is provided to all retreat activities.
