For Alix, nutrition, a healthy lifestyle and Yoga have always been of paramount importance. She is a strong supporter of the Latin saying ‘mens sana in corpore sano’, which means that only a healthy body can support a healthy mind, so we should strive to keep our bodies in top condition. She has been practicing Yoga for many years in order to sustain a well balanced life, she has completed trainings in India for (200hr) ashtanga yoga and in Costa Rica for a (200 hr) vinyasa and massage therapy course and believes that through asana practice we can sustain a clearer consciousness. Alix wants to impart her knowledge onto her students helping them to understand their bodies and therefore be able to delve more deeply into each pose. This was the genesis which led to the development of the” Body and Mind” company. She has lived in many countries, and experienced many different cultures, and from this she has been inspired to follow the fundamentals of the Mediterranean diet and lifestyle which provides the most comprehensive combination of nutrition, well-being and family-oriented ideals. This philosophy is not about deprivation or even having to worry about how to manage a harmonious diet and lifestyle, instead Alix wants to open up a world of delicious and well balanced menus that you can take home with you and use for the rest of your life.
Elske and Olaf are two of our amazing teachers, with years of experience teaching and understanding bodies. They are both massage therapists as well as teachers giving them a deeper understanding of the human body which allows for a practice that enables comfort and growth.

Come and enjoy a stunning property in beautiful Ibiza!
The villa offers a total of 7 bedrooms and can accommodate 18 people, we will host the retreat with a maximum of 12 guests in order to keep it as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
All rooms have ensuite bathrooms and there are room for both private solo travellers and those who would like to share with a friend, spouse or family member.
This retreat will focus on the awakening energies of the spring, allowing us to hone in on our bodies and bring them from a more introspective winter to a blossoming creative spring. We will follow 2 yoga classes per day, hiking and fitness and with time for massages and other extra activities. We will be enjoying the beaches as well as local restaurants.
Most of the meals will take place on the property curated by your local private chef, giving us that truly pampered feeling.
Alix, Elske and Olaf will be the mains teachers on this retreat and they will help you move through the week allowing you to feel rejuvenated and supercharged when you leave.

A nervous system cleanse
I would say this retreat exceeded expectations, and I am very sad to be back home! It’s the perfect retreat if you are traveling solo (or otherwise). I came for my birthday and it was a perfect place to wake up and I had a wonderful time hanging out with the other retreatees and the staff! The space was beautiful, like something out of a fairy tale book. The neighboring town dates back to earlier than 1100. Two yoga classes per day, fitness class every other day, daily hikes, options for a meditation, horse back riding, can hang by the pool any time, and made to order lunch and dinner, breakfast was more shared style. The food was very good, and they had vegetarian and vegan options. To me it didn’t always seem like the unbelievable cuisine I feel like you come to Italy for but was probably better than most retreats. The views when dining and doing yoga were also breathtaking. We also went to a wine tasting and olive tasting in a neighboring castle. it’s so peaceful and relaxing. I didn’t realize there would be other people not at the retreat staying around the resort, but it was okay. There was also a heat wave and it started warming up around 8am in June. It was almost too quiet for me😅I would have loved a room on a second floor where I could keep a window open at night. But I felt my nervous system actually relax on the second day, and it was wonderful. I am sooo sad to be back. Everyone working at the retreat was so nice and accommodating too. They picked me up from the train station. I purchased a massage also for extra which was nice, and they even let me stay an extra night so I could go straight to my flight in the morning. I said affirmations to the mountains on the morning of my departure, and the taxi ride through the neighborhood made me sad to be leaving because it was so peaceful. Definitely recommend.

What a superb stay we had at Tuscan Fitness. From the complimentary pick up from the station, to the food, variety of fitness activities and the service, just brilliant.
We loved every yoga session, the HIT fitness classes, tennis, hiking, massages, the views, and not forgetting The Big Bench!
Shame we didn’t have time for horse riding but we’ll be back next year for that too. 😊

Amazing retreat for a recharge!
The Tuscan Fitness retreat was everything I can ask for and more! Booking was so flexible, easy, and very accommodating from booking retreat dates to booking horseback riding while at the retreat itself. While I missed out on the Olive Oil tasting, I had a wonderful time at the wine tasting experience we were taken to! The yoga/fitness instructors were amazing and the classes offered really motivated me to stay in shape and to make working out feeling fun again too! I learned a lot and enjoyed the hiking trails too! La Forra offers so much to see and I would love to come back to explore more of it! The food was so delicious and so healthy and the staff at La Forra were truly exceptional and so welcoming! I felt like a brand new person by the end of my stay and a wonderful early celebration of my birthday! My only regret was not booking my trip for longer than 5 days! I would love to come back soon! :)

Once is not enough!
I travelled alone, wanting to still the mind and move the body.
Everyone I interacted with during my stay were incredible, the other Tuscan Fitness guests, yoga with Elske, Olaf, Alex and Jordan as well as hiking with David and not forgetting Patricia and Andrea for a warm welcome and magnificent horse ride.
It’s hard to describe the feeling unless you go see for yourself!
Preparing to book again for next year and hoping to bring along some friends this time!

Truly magnificent
I don't even know where to start...Leaving after 5 days and just full of gratitude for the experience, the beautiful connections, the laughs-even the cries. Because leaving was hard! I came a solo traveller but left part of a community. La Forra is a special place, Tuscan Fitness a community of like-minded people that just made this week unforgettable. Everything from the property to the food, the facilities, the programme was just wonderful. Thank you to Alix and Team for the incredible set up, thank you to Olaf for the great treatment, thank you to David for all the wonderful insights on the hikes, and a very very special thank you to Elske, her energy and presence during yoga - it had a true impact. It was my first time here - but it certainly won't be the last.
