Quinta Carvalhas

Our stay at Quinta Carvalhas was nothing short of exceptional! I was organizing a retreat for a group of around 20 people, and from start to finish, the team—especially Gerhard and Rafaela—went above and beyond to make the experience seamless, enjoyable, and truly special.

From the very beginning, their professionalism, warmth, and dedication stood out. They were incredibly responsive in the planning phase, helping me organize everything in advance to ensure a smooth arrival and stay for our group. Every detail was taken care of, and upon arrival, everything was set up perfectly.

Throughout our stay, our group had multiple ad-hoc requests, and the team handled every single one with efficiency, creativity, and a smile. Their flexibility was remarkable—even when we veered off our agreed schedule, they accommodated us with such ease and grace. The level of client service and attentiveness they demonstrated was truly phenomenal. We couldn’t have asked for a better team—they made us feel welcome, cared for, and supported in every way.

As for the Quinta itself, it is an absolute gem! The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and comfortable, the food was delicious and thoughtfully catered to all our dietary needs, and the premises were simply stunning. We made full use of the facilities, all of which were impeccably maintained. A special bonus was the presence of the beautiful horses, whose calming energy added a unique and serene touch to our experience.

We left feeling deeply grateful for this incredible place and its outstanding team. Thank you, Gerhard, Rafaela, and the entire Quinta team, for making our retreat truly unforgettable! We can’t wait to return in the near future.

It was exactly what I was looking for and some more. I feel very lucky and blessed that I was able to book a private retreat for a couple of days. I had the whole space just for me, as there was no one else staying there for those couple of days. The staff were impecable, the food was divine, the place felt sacred, my experience with the horses was perfect and I had enough time to do my own thing, walk and explore the surroundings, do my writing, meditate and recharge. My ONLY issue was with the food, I am not a vegetarian. The staff were super helpful in creating dishes that I could eat, so ultimately not a problem.
The venue itself was delightful, always clean and well presented, Rooms very comfortable. Meeting spaces excellent.
Plan on returning to this one after travelling the world and holding programs in many countries, this one is up there at the top of return to lists. Staff great, very flexible through the whole process.
